Wir sind ein familiengeführter Gasthof mit langer Tradition und Geschichte. Unser Haus ist ein Einzelbaudenkmal und wir kochen gerne fränkisch mit regionalen Zutaten. Dabei verwenden wir gerne Kräuter und Salate aus dem eigenen Garten. Außerdem bauen wir historische Tomatensorten an.

You get a great sense of history dining in this restaurant with its association with the composer Richard Wagner. Unfortunately the menu is only in German so you do have to work your way thru it. As far as I can tell, the staff also is only German speaking but they were all very welcoming and contributed to the overall experience. The food is local cuisine; heartily and delicious. Don't expect anything fancy, just a very well prepared and satisfying meal. I hope to visit this restaurant again on a future visit to Bayreuth.

Sehr liebevoll renoviertes altes Gasthaus mit der richtigen Patina, wie man sie leider nur noch selten findet. Mein Hirschragout war sehr lecker. Auch das Dessert war gut. Das Zimmer war neu renoviert mit hellen Möbeln. Gerne wieder. read more
