Gasthof Waldhof is located off the 138 in between Sankt Pancraz and Windishgarsten, about 7 minutes off the Hinterstoder exit on the A9. Yep another gashaus review, these places are everywhere and so far haven't been disappointed with the food or service. The frankfurters are bomb, make sure you ask for senf (tasty yellow mustard) with it otherwise it'll feel like something is missing. The goulash is just ok, I've had better close by with less fat. This is my favorite place for leberknödelsuppe (liver dumpling soup) the broth is mildly addicting and the dumpling is huge, it's dense, the way I like it. They have a fine dining area off to the left if you want a quieter ambience, the staff is friendl every time I been comic here, since 2015. If your going gashaus hoping put this on your list, it really is a hidden gem in Upper Austria. read more
