It's cavernous but cozy if that's possible and absolutely gorgeous. It's located downstairs in one of the many beautiful old building in "downtown" or center square Goettigen. The Schnitzel was really good. They have a great dessert bar. Not as good as Cron and Lanz but good none the same. So when in Goettigen stop in and have a bite.

The menu was brimming with asparagus specials since it was "Spargelsaison" and that's what we ordered. The presentation was excellent and the quality was above criticism. Granted, we ordered a simple dish where the ingredients stand on their own, and, I suppose, one can't really mess it up. But the asparagus was trop quality with outstanding flavor. The potatoes were what you would expect in Germany. And the ham was delicate. We split a warm strudel which was memorable. Upscale but not flashy or super trendy. Just a fine, solid place. Recommended! I give it 5 stars because there was just nothing wrong with it at all.
