Albert's Corner turned out to be the perfect place. The inside is kind of dark with lots of black wood and separated into little cozy alcoves. Perfect for us to hide from all the other well-dressed diners. The beer was good and cold and we get very good food. Chanterelles are in season so I got Schnitzel with a chanterelle sauce and boiled potatoes. Just the perfect dish after a hike. Service was very friendly and efficient. We even received a shot of Schierker Feuerstein to end our meal and help us hike back to our hotel. We'll definitely stop here again when we're back in Bad Harzburg.

Our case find the reserved table. Definitely not a welcoming atmosphere. Plus: every other table which would seat 6 was used by 2 people only. As they are not seated here people tend to use what they see fit for themselves. The restaurant could make more profit and increase happiness by seating people according to the server capacity and free space. We had to wait to get our bill as the service doesn't really race to service the customer. If they have one table with more rotation on happy customer, they would increase the profit. Seems to be not occurred to the management of the Bavaria Alm.
