I asked to use the bathroom and he said they didn't have one. I've used it before, never when he was working apparently. I didn't know it was strictly forbidden to use it so I said I had before and he went off on me - "well, it's my restaurant and I say you can't" and other unnecessarily rude things in the nastiest tone. I've lived here a long time, I know Berliner service culture isn't warm, but this was beyond, felt aggressive, and for what? If you have that much of a hair-trigger anger problem, maybe a public-facing business isn't the one for you. I'm a business owner too and if I spoke to my clients in that tone and with so much anger every time they asked an annoying question, I wouldn't have a single one left. We lost our appetites after that, so I wish we hadn't given him our money one more time. Thankfully plenty of other great Polish places in Berlin that aren't run by arrogant, rude people like this.
