Visiting my daughter in Berlin and she took my wife and I to dinner. We asked to try something new other than German food. She surprised us with this Tibet restaurant. This is our first time trying Tibet food and was pleasantly surprised! We ordered Himalaya Khasi Alu, Everest Mutton, Matsama Gai, and Mango Chicken and they were all delicious! Our Servers was very friendly and the price was good too! I will definitely recommend it!

This is the best food I've ever had anywhere in my life. Everything we ate was perfect. I've had Tibetan food before but it was nothing compared to this amazing place.

I'm bummed out myself that I can only give 2 stars for my dining experience here. I spotted this place on my very first day in Berlin and always thought it looked very cute. However, it took more than 3 years to finally eat here. Walking in was just as nice as imagined as the place has a cosy and peaceful feel to it. My first surprise was that the house specialty "Momo" is NOT vegan, although a review I read before said so. The 2nd surprise concerns the 100% plant-base dishes I was excited to see on the menu... Turns out, only 2 out of 4 can be prepared vegan upon request. Well, good thing I asked. So finally I went for the Okra dish mainly because I always go for Okra when I see it on the menu. Okra with veggies and Nepalese spices to be exact, which came with the soup of the day (lentil soup, supposedly vegan and quite nice) and a side salad. I was very hungry and love Okra so I was very much looking forward to it - and equally disappointed as I saw and tasted that it was actually prepared with frozen veggies! The sauce itself was good but unfortunately spoiled by the overcooked tasteless things that used to be veggies once. When the waiter came to clear my table he asked if I enjoyed my food I said that I was disappointed to find frozen veggies in my dish but liked that sauce and think it would be really nice with fresh veggies. Apparently he wasn't expecting honest feedback as he just looked irritated and left without commenting. So to end on a positive note: the portion was quite big, I had a decent soup and enjoyed a nice atmosphere. Also the waitress who took my order was helpful and pointed out the previously stated not so vegan points. I'd like to think they just happened to run out of fresh veggies right before I walked in... But since I can't really convince myself of that thought, it was probably my first and last time eating here, which I find unfortunate...

Love this place. Get the mutton Momo and you'll be very happy. The curries are also pretty delicious and the mango beer as well

The food was really not good, it had no flavour. The mango curry seemed to come straight from a can. A waste of money and time.

Among the Tibetan dishes I want to recommend the momos (steamed stuffed pastry).

There probably aren't many cuisines you can't find in Berlin, but I was still surprised to see a…read moreTibetan restaurant. Warm and cozy, decorated with candles and photos of Tibet, Little Tibet serves staples such as momos (dumplings), noodle soups, rice dishes, and a few wok-fried meats. Torn between the shaptak shoko (stir-fried beef, veggies, and potato) and a mixed momo dish, the momos won out. Six steamed and six fried dumplings (three each of minced beef & ginger/spinach & cheese) served with a light salad in a yogurt dressing and a sweet chili based dipping sauce. The momos were surprisingly light but did not skimp on the filling. It made for a satisfying (and, at €8, quite cheap) meal.

Longer version (for the brave) - we arrived to this place after literally trying every option of Asian food there is, besides Tibetan. It was time. So we sat outside as the weather was nice and ordered vegetarian starters (Tsa pakora and veggie fried pockets). Watch out, as it is served HOT! got a burn from the spinach :) But it was delicious, and quite a big dish for a starter, each of them came with two dips too. I loved the Tsa pakora, it was crispy and had great flavors. For the main dish I had a traditional Tibetan dish, sorry but I forgot its name... Seasoned rice with veggies and beef with some cashews on top and an interesting curry sauce, it tastes a bit different than other curries I have tried before and it's not too spicy for those of you who can't handle it, no worries :) My friend had fried momos with cheese and spinach, I'd like to try them next time but with some meat inside, got a feeling it would taste much much better! The dishes are very big, I was kinda full half way through but it was so good I kept digging in it almost until I finished it all! Service was great and we had a great experience, the prices are really good and overall we just had great fun, no doubt I'll come again soon! All the reviews here really justify everything about this place, hopefully mine does too :)

LOVE LOVE LOVED!! our meal at Himali!!…read more We walked in fairly late, about an hour before closing after being turned away from another restaurant. The owner saw us approach and opened the door and welcomed us in to dine.... throughout the meal he came over and gave us a lot of information on the restaurant, the food, and pointed out which specific herbs and ingredients he grew himself in his garden. We ordered the Mt Everest Khana (for 4 people) and it was soo much food!! It came with cocktails and several courses of delicious Nepali food. We really loved the kwati soup and the lamb and chicken curry - well all of it really. The flatbread was so fresh and delicious... We ALSO had to get the momo which were EXCELLENT! Definitely a must order!! The owner was so so so attentive - he introduced us to all his regulars that came through and let us get to know each other, and when a suspicious person came in and tried to insist on sitting too close to my partner's bag (he tried to sit right next to his bag vs the many other empty tables since it was like 10 min to closing at that point), the owner intervened and the person stormed out in a huff... We think that this person was trying to steal my partner's bag and if it werent for the owner we're not sure we would have noticed since we were so preoccupied with our delicious food!! It was so cosy and welcoming inside, spacious, we could see the owner preparing our drinks for us from the bar, and if we were local to Berlin I think we would become regulars as well. It was definitely a highlight of our trip to Berlin!!!
