Fortunately the meals are much better than my recall of their German names. The woman serving us…read morewas equally as fabulous as the meal. The salad had potatoes that were soaked in a vinegar and oIl based dressing. I am positive that my description does a huge disservice. I had three filet dinner with chicken, lamb and beef. All tender and tasty! They were joined by a pasta with a delicious gravy. All was topped off fried apple rings and vanilla ice cream. When in Stuttgart Germany I highly recommend this restaurant.

Staffele is a cute little place tucked back into the side streets in the seam between the Mitte, Sud, and West neighborhoods, a quick walk from Feuersee. The inside is old-school dark and pub-like, but outside they have a small (covered) beer garden with a handful of tables. You are right in the city, but tucked into a tiny side-street, so it's still nicely quiet. We found the service to be okay, but even more business-like than our other meals of the week. As far as the food went, the jaegerschnitzel was good, and the maultaschen with eggs was one of my favorite dishes of the trip. Usually maultaschen seems to be served as a giant meat-filled ravioli with a cream sauce or broth, but here they serve it chopped into bite-sized pieces, pan-fried with eggs, and without sauce (vaguely like fried-rice, but with meat ravioli). It was a nice change of pace and a tasty choice. If I find myself in the area again, I'll stop by and try some more of the menu out...

#1 place my co-workers and I ate at out of two weeks eating out in the Sindelfigen/Boblingen area…read more An unexpected hit after having one of our group say he wanted to go out for German/Swabian one more time (even though the other three outings were all decent). Reservations are a must here though, and since we didn't have one, we were lucky to get seated at one of the two tables in the bar area. So the best description I can offer is that the regional Swabian dishes are all taken to "11"--perfectly prepared and tweaked in elegant and delicious ways. Service was perfect. Good wine selection. Dessert was great. This is a Must Eat At place in the area. Even for a more formal setting, was reasonably priced given the level of execution. This will be at the top of my list each time I come back to the area.

To make her day special, I contacted them to see if her favorite meal (Schnitzel!) could be delivered to her. I was informed that they do not deliver, but for this special occasion they would. Big shout-out to Restaurant Reussenstein They did a wonderful job and my mother could not believe it! Many thanks to the whole team and especially Ms. Nadj for making this work! If you are in Boeblingen on your future travels, they are the place to go for a great meal!

Was treated to this restaurant when I was in Germany with my sister. We had a party of 5 and were…read moreseated right away- no wait at all. The menu had so many different items on it- all German food of course which was interesting because although I am Half German I never really ate the food. I ended up getting the fried schnitzel since I always wanted to try it, a salad and an orange and cola soda. They were known for the soda that was an orange and cola mixed together soda- it was interesting for sure. My sister seemed to enjoy it more than me- guess I was used to our Coca Cola instead. As far as the salad- for some reason in Germany they put Cole slaw mixed in with regular salad- interesting for sure, but tasty cause I love Cole slaw. The fried schnitzel was okay- I ate it but probably would never eat it again cause it definitely wasn't what I was used to eating. All the foods were so foreign to me. The best thing about the meal was the dessert. Me and my sister ended up sharing dessert and it was a fried pastry with apples and cinnamon. It was so yummy. I prob wouldn't be back to Germany for some time- but if I ever return, I'd give this place another try.

The second time we sat outside and had a wonderful meal. My wife ordered a cheese spatzle and got a salad with it and she shared it with our middle son who also enjoyed it. I got the Berner Lendchen, which is a pork filet wrapped in ham and topped with cheese. It came with a dark sauce and croquettes. This Swabian meal was fantastic! We were too stuffed for dessert. The third time we tried to eat here they were only doing reservations. That was kind of a bummer, but it offered us a chance to try a different place to eat. I might have docked them a star had the meal we did get to try not been amazing. Lastly, we didn't see a allergen menu which unfortunately for us we need since two of our three boys have food allergies.
