The main hall has just undergone a major renovation and rejuvenation to the stained glass windows, as well as the addition to more stained glass at creating a foyer in the rear. Very beautiful space, and well maintained, and as I mentioned, seemingly welcoming to all. If we lived closer, I imagine we'd visit more often. Thank you for making guests feel so welcome!

We never went to church while we lived in NY but really wanted to start going once we got settled in down here. We tried out another Lutheran church in the area prior to attending Augsburg but we weren't overly impressed with the other one. We found Augsburg Lutheran online and decided to give it a try. Is it weird to say... it was "love at first visit"??? Because it was!!! We felt so welcomed from day one. We then came back the next week and brought my parents who also loved the service. The rest is history, we keep going back. The Pastors here are AWESOME! We have been so welcomed by them!! With all the members at the church, we were impressed that after only a few visits, they remembered our names. (Personally, I am TERRIBLE with names. Just terrible). We have grown especially are fond of Pastor Pugh. We like how he seems so "down to earth" and how he relates his own life stories into the sermons. I like that the services are traditional. (I personally prefer traditional over contemporary.) I love singing the same hymns I grew up hearing. As far as we have seen it, there is communion every service. (I know some churches do it at certain services and not at others but not here, we've had it every time). We enjoy the length of the service too, which is usually around an hour. Sometimes if there is a baptism or extra event it will run a bit longer but it's not like "clear your calendar for the entire day, it's Sunday - church-all-day". There are 2 services on Sunday: 8:30 and 11:00. The 11 o'clock works perfect for us! The church itself is beautiful! We haven't "explored" it all yet but we will see more of it eventually. We seriously LOVE this church so much and are now looking into becoming members and having our daughter baptized here. We HIGHLY recommend this church to EVERYONE!!!! (My husband grew up Catholic and he is allowed to come here too. - Hahahaha)

We attended until my work schedule was where I could not be available to attend services there. I really enjoyed the social activities as well as the worship services. Later I was lead to another church until we relocated. I am very glad that this church is not afraid to address political issues. This church is very open minded and diverse. Apparently, the simple act of picking up and putting down your kid more than once during service is considered "disruptive". So, you can either be ushered to the very last row of the church with your kid (s) or be asked to leave the premises.
