The Gateshea Central Library is quite a large building which provides many services to the public.
Firstly, books. There is a very wide collection of fiction and non-fiction books for both adults and children. I have never went and not been able to get the books I have been looking for.
There is also quite a few computers available, however, you must be a member of the library to use them. Signing up is easy though. Just have some forms of ID with you.
They also offer DVD and CD renting which has all of the new releases as well as some older titles at a cheaper rate.
There is also a small art gallery, a reference library with photocopier, and upstairs is the Caedmon Hall where small productions are held. Finally there is a small cafe which sells light snacks and refreshements.
All in all a nice place to go with alot of facilities for people of all ages! read more
