Lovely large stones. Still in use today. There is a large parking lot in back and easy wheelchair access there as well. Part of this church was built more recently, but the front and sides remain from 1826. They knew how to build then. It'll still be here in 2116.

The health and safety of the congregants is a priority with posted signs - social distancing - separate 8 o'clock and 10 o'clock alternating seat utilization. Disinfectant sprayed on each persons hand upon entry, and again just poor to receiving communion make for a stress free prayerful worship without distraction of infection. Father Wallace, formerly at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, seems right at home at Bethesda. The vestry did a multi year search to replace the interim minister and found Wallace to be a perfect fit. Soft spoken, prayerful, and genuine he has connected deeply with the congregation.

A reminder that somethings come and go, but this thing has been here and will be here for a while. This Easter they did some incense burning, and the air was thick with the smoke. It gave the arch of the roof a smoky mystical look and the light was in lemon beams coming through the stained glass. The cadence of hymns allows the masses to follow along, and sometimes I just went through the motions. Stumbling over verse would leave me silent for a stanza or so, and then I'd join again. I often hear that many people consider themselves spiritual rather than religious. I wonder if they are just being lazy. Like the pursuit of art or beauty, perusing spirituality involves an unfolding of deeper meaning. Listening to a song you love can be like looking at one of those 3-d puzzles what jump off the page when you let your eyes relax. Spirituality and faith require that you first relax your eyes a little, look at things in a different way. There may be some effort involved. On another note, I think women always look good at church. Smartly dressed and Sunday clean, my girlfriend looked adorable. Many of the mothers and daughters of the congregation did that Sunday. I listened to the sermon for a while but got lost and fidgety and wanted to make my girlie giggle. I always get really hungry after church. I think the soul engine runs food.

The people here are welcoming, the kids program is great, the building is beautiful! We are a young couple with four young boys. We love the fact that there are many young families (as well as all walks of life!) who attend the church. We are happy to call Terra Nova home.

Then when I tried to speak up an add input about there baptism there, she basically told me to shout up. But yet allowed another at a different table speak when she was done n didn't have any intentions of coming back to me. when what I had to say would have helped. I felt unwanted at this church AT CHURCH in all places !!! The one place you're supposed to feel welcomed I felt unwelcome. I had to leave respectfully. She's a pastor n she lied to my face saying she left our table cause she had to speak her announcements but she didn't!! she left n went to say hi to another table! The ladys came to speak to me in the hall n only wanted to state what they believed n that she's not that way but God knows the truth that she did that. Yes she's human too but she's also a leader n should be more respectful in gods name. God says to for give so I'll do that but I don't want to go where a pastors wife treats me like I'm dirt. But yet god still calls me to go there that there's something to learn there regardless of the pastors wife Deb. God is in control n has much to teach me.
