Just gassed up at this station, off hwy 1 and 21. We pulled in with our RV as it was an Esso station and they sold diesel. Bad move.
I have never seen such an antiquated and delapidated gas station like this except in a third world country.
I could not use my Esso fob or a credit card at the pump, so had to go into the station. The pump nozzle was so dirty that my hands were covered in oil, grease and diesel fuel. You guessed it, no paper towels or a squeegee to even wash the windows.
I couldn't use my fob at the till as they weren't that advanced. No points for me. The items in the store were not priced and they were covered in dust as they keep the door open. Needless to say I needed to use the washroom to wash my hands before getting into my vehicle. There was a lineup of disgruntled customers who also needed to use the washroom. I haven't seen such dirty and graffiti laden walls in years. I won't discuss the toilet.
Another customer was so annoyed about the dirty nozzles and no paper towel provided. There wasn't even a garbage can available at the pumps.
Do not go to this Esso, go to the one in Walsh (if you are driving west), and don't turn off the highway if you are traveling east.
Esso needs to take a look at this station as it does not meet any of the minimum standards of any gas station. read more
