Years later, I live almost 25 minutes away and it's not convenience, but service that has kept me as a customer. My husband has a credit union bank account and perpetually lectures me about the "evils" of banks and the lack of personal service. However, if he had an account at my bank, he would understand why I keep my own account with Newfield. In 15 years, I've bounced a check once. Instead of getting slammed with fees, I got a personal phone call asking to come make a deposit with no penalty. HELLOOOOO!!! Does customer service get any better than that? They've got a great online banking website, an accessible and knowledgeable IT staff ready to help and tellers that are efficient and friendly. The best part is, they're a locally owned and operated bank, so I don't have problems with banks merging and changing names every few months like many people do. Granted, banking when I'm out of the county is inconvenient, but it's worth the trade off of great service. I couldn't ask for more.
