Corey with Gateway Jets came to inspect and purchase my plane. He showed up and we agreed on a price. Corey did not utilize any sort of contract for the purchase and provided no earnest money for the sale very unprofessional as a broker of aircraft. He post dated a bill of sale and FAA title transfer which I was holding until he could fund the purchase. In the interim I decided to keep my plane and cancelled the transaction by texting him at 9:30 the next morning. Corey began harassing me as soon as I texted him that I would not be selling. He made 10 telephone calls harassing me about my decision, and then became threatening as to legal ramifications and demanding a $2000 payment. When I pointed out my legal position and his lack of legal grounds he began trying to intimidate me by calling me names and trying to denigrate me as a person. I would steer clear of Gateway Jets and under no circumstances use them as a broker. Their business practices are beyond questionable and their tactics unethical. read more
