Basically the only way to *choose* a doctor is based off their credentials and background. I wish there were a consistent review platform for healthcare providers. I found Dr. Leigh Ball's page and realized she was also a sleep specialist, which worked well for me since I was having some issues with insomnia. I am so happy with Dr. Ball. She takes time to listen, asks great questions and is understanding. She involves my partner when he comes to appointments with me but always sleeps the focus on me. She was also willing to do virtual apts. She is responsive via MyChart. Great experience with her. The office itself is in the CAM. Pretty basic, staff is nice, straight to the point. I've never had to wait more than like 30 mins tops to be seen. They can also do some blood work right there which is nice. Oh, and the views of the city from the CAM are a nice little perk.

I saw her yesterday, and she gave me some tips about my next colonoscopy, which will be next year (oh YIPPEE . . . let's put that on the calendar right-about now). We didn't take a blood draw (hello thankful). All systems are go! And I got a flu shot.

Dr. William Wilcox has been my GP for several years now. I found him through my provider's…read moredirectory and he's worked out well every time. When I first moved here, I was sick a lot. It was a combination of allergy issues and working in a new office with all kinds of new germs. Regardless, Dr. Wilcox helped me out each time. Not only does he just prescribe meds, but he explains the root of your illness so you know what's going on. If necessary, he'll even draw you pictures :) Since I've gotten used to city life and am taking better care of myself as I get older, I don't need to see Dr. Wilcox as much as I used to. But if/when I do get sick (knock on wood!), I would be happy to go back and pay him a visit. Crossing my fingers that it's minor and not swine flu related.

Went back the next day for an ultrasound and was there for 2 hrs. Patients I talked to all seem to like the doctor!
