This theater had such a cute rustic charm to it. The seats were a little sunken in and not to…read morecomfortable, but decent enough to sit through a 2 hour film. The snack stand outside had a lot of variety of snacks. We watched the Batman movie "Joker" on Halloween, and was very surprised to see how many people dressed up as Joker on Champs-Élysées after the movie was finished. Overall it was a good experience, and a nice place to relax after a long day of being a tourist.

It is a wonderfully different experience to see a movie in English with French subtitles. However,…read morewhen I saw the Hobbit, and there were scenes using Elfish and Orcish there was no English so my French really was tested. My bigger beef is with the "pass illimite" which is the unlimited monthly pass which they sell for the ridiculously cheap price of 20 euros. I think they want to make it particularly difficult for non-residents to get the pass, as you have to have a French bank account in order to get the monthly pass. Boo.

Theatre 4 is small but has a small stadium seating and a curved screen. Theatre 1 is a beautiful stadium with 862 seats. Very nice and probably the biggest movie theatre I have been too. The fixtures and fittings have had a long and hard life, but we can somehow overlook this in the overall ambience (the seats may be tired but they are not wrecked). But once you start getting down to problems like the sound cutting out (I know, these things happen) it gets annoying. What is difficult to deal with is the lack of any efficient ventilation (nevermind airconditioning). A very full theatre on a summers evening was claustrophobic overheated and bad smelling. Overall a great place to watch a movie, but adjust your expectations for the comfort level.
