This is a great place in the middle of town to grab some breakfast or lunch. The parking in GB can get limited especially on the weekends, but there are parking options all around. You have to walk through either a front door or back door to get to the main door of the restaurant. The back door has other restaurants near it. You will need to walk down to the other end. When you walk in there is seating to the left and right side of you. They have booths and tables. They serve breakfast all day, which is a huge plus. They have a great variety of different foods and drinks that you can choose from. The boozy milkshakes sounded good! It was very busy when my son and I went and although it took a few minutes for someone to come over to us, the service was great and the food came out in a good amount of time. My son got a cheeseburger with truffle fries and I got fried green tomatoes with Burrata. We both really enjoyed the food and look forward to going back again!

GB Eats is a great little spot in Great Barrington for brunch or lunch. The service is friendly, and we made this a little stop along our way to North Adams. Great Barrington is a quaint town with plenty of shops and restaurants. We ordered the BLT and the crispy chicken sandwich, and both were excellent. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

When we stopped in Great Barrington for some shopping, we decided to grab a quick lunch at GB Eats. We didn't have to wait for a table for 3, but the restaurant was busy with diners around 2pm. We ordered the soup of the day - broccoli cheddar, the schnitzel bacon jam sandwich, the grilled vegetable salad, and a burger. Everything we ordered was good, but nothing was a standout. The schnitzel sandwich was tasty, but I wish the bacon jam was a little sweeter, less tangy. The grilled veg salad was good but not delicious. For handcut fries, I thought they were very good and crispy. Overall, this is a nice place to grab a bite in Great Barrington, but not a life changing lunch.

Such a lovely place and funky atmosphere. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Service was quick especially for a busy Saturday morning. A great assortment of teas and coffees. My husband had an iced mocha which had chunks of beautiful dark chocolate in it. Not too sweet. I had a London Fog which was the best I've ever had. My custom omelette was perfectly cooked with such good toast! I love that they offer healthy salad option to home fries although I saw on another table the home fries look amazing. My husband got the house- made corned beef has with fried eggs on top. He was very pleased. We will surely come again.

We came in for brunch around 10am on a weekend morning and had no problem getting a seat. The server was super friendly and the food came out quick. I ordered a create your own omelette with fresh avocado and cheddar cheese. The sourdough toast was delicious. My husband had a chicken biscuit and gravy bowl that was a perfect size for breakfast. Cute spot and great service. Will definitely be making a few trips here.

This place didn't disappoint! After a search for breakfast in the area and reading the reviews, we decided to stop and we all enjoyed the service and ambiance. After a short wait which gave us the time to look at the menu, we were seated and ordered. Service was quick and friendly. I had the potato eggs Benedict , my daughter savored the French toast with syrup, My husband enjoyed the Shakshuka and our son devoured the fried chicken and waffle. We previously had coffee at the hotel so we opted for water and fresh squeezed orange juice. We would definitely love to return!

I came here for breakfast and ordered the breakfast croissant in whole wheat toast without bacon. It came with bacon so had to wait for a new order. The breakfast sandwich was good. It's a nice local spot. You have to show up early or there will probably be a wait on the weekends. We will definitely be back.

I'm picky about restaurant food because I love cooking and usually prefer my own meals. When I do go out, I want something that's either different or at least as good as what I make at home--and this place blows me away every time. Their burgers easily surpass any I've ever made myself. It's consistently as good as every other time I've gone. It's a small spot, but the staff is warm and welcoming, and the prices are more than fair. I honestly wish I had shared this review sooner--I've probably recommended them to at least 20 people already. Part of me wants to keep it a hidden gem, but they absolutely deserve all the business they can get. A++++

I had a very hard time deciding what to order so that's always a good sign. I got the pork schnitzel sandwich with bacon jam and truffle fries while my husband got the turkey club with sweet potatoes fries. We also both had a Bloody Mary. Everything was delicious! And on top of that, it's cute and hip and right on the Main Street so it's a good place for people watching if you get a window seat. I'm not from the area but if I'm nearby again, I'd love to try a latte and a breakfast item.

The view out the window. We are new to the area and views like this take my breath away

Took a chance and tried this place and I'm so glad we did! We've been back many times since. Great decaf, which is hard to find and the potato cake Benedict is amazing!

I loved the food at GB eats! Came here for a quick lunch on a Tuesday afternoon around 1:00. Not crowded and food came very fast. Menu looked great, was hard choosing what to order because everything sounded so good! Lots of healthy options which I really appreciated. They had all day breakfast as well as lunch and dinner. Cute interior. Great drink menu too. Service was excellent, friendly employees. Would recommend!

We arrived for our reservation and were offered a very small two-top. Because we were dining with our dog, we politely asked if it would be possible to wait for a larger table where she would not be in the way of other guests or staff. We were not demanding a different table -- we were told it would take approximately 30 minutes for another table in a different section to become available, and we happily said we were willing to wait. We sat quietly outside with our dog while waiting. The owner then approached us and told us that waiting for another table would interfere with future seating. We were surprised by this, as we had simply accepted the wait time that was provided to us and had not caused any disruption. The interaction escalated when the owner used profanity toward my husband and threw the water bowl that had been provided for our dog in our direction. We were shocked by the hostility and left without eating. We completely understand that restaurants have to manage reservations and seating, and we would have accepted being told that our request could not be accommodated. What was unacceptable was the way we were spoken to and treated by the owner. We came here excited to spend our money at this restaurant as part of our trip, but we are grateful that Great Barrington has many other excellent establishments where we were welcomed and happy to spend our money instead. Unfortunately, this experience was the opposite of the hospitality we expected.

Upon arriving, our table was ready up near the front window which allowed for fun people-watching. Our waiter did a good job - drinks were fine, menu was a bit limited if one is looking for a nice entree offering, but we selected hangar steak, fish & chips, homemade pasta bowl, etc and they were fine. The one problem which turned a perfectly good experience into one which all of my guests commented on was that after dropping $500 moments earlier, we waited by the host's stand to use the restroom, and each time the waiter/owner? passed by, he said excuse me in an irritated manner, even though a couple times he wasn't even bringing any food out. We were not blocking the passageway nor creating any noise - just waiting for the restroom after dining at their establishment. A little attitude adjustment for his guests' patronage (or an additional restroom) would've made all the difference in whether guests would choose to return to his establishment. This is the only restaurant I have ever eaten at which considers 3 ounces of Flat Iron steak to be an appropriate portion for an adult diner. Our table of four ordered a bottle of white wine, a Sancere, which was brought to the table at at a temperature inappropriate for a fine white wine ... and not cheap at that. I ordered the tuna diner, which amounted to four minuscule tidbits. I had instructed the server that I wanted my tuna BLACK AND BLUE in temperature, it arrived over cooked and overly peppered. Speaking for the rest of the table, all of the portions were almost laughably small. The plates brought to our table were more of a tasting than a diner. Had my wife not ordered a salad, which was of decent size, she would have left as hungry as I did. Not normally needing a desert, I was so hungry that I ordered what was described as a coconut pudding like concoction. All can say about it is it was white and totally tasteless, sort of like 2 percent milk with gelatin. My wife made the same error. Neither of us ate the pudding. In short, had we not been brought there by family members who live in the Lenox area, I would have sent my diner back to the kitchen. I thanked our family but in truth would never go back to this well over hyped place again. To add to the poor dining experience, the floor plan designer of this establishment actually chose to place an unguarded stairwell directly in-front of an exit door. Taking about a law suite waiting to happen.
