We paid this company over $6,000. to transfer our timeshare in Williamsburg, VA. back on Sept. 2, 2021 as of today July 27, 2023 we have not heard anything from them. All the phone numbers I have for them are no longer working. I guess we have been scammed. I see all the other reviews and it sure does sound like a scam. This company is a fraud! Received unsolicited call from them inviting me to attend local meeting to explain possible savings to compensate for Covid by our timeshare company. Gave impression they represented our timeshare. Was offered a $40 VISA card to attend. I attended the meeting and was surprised to find there was no organized presentation. Each attendee was seated at a separate table with a representative of their company (Michael L. from Tennessee was mine). There was a rambling "conversation" talking about the timeshare industry that ended with admitting they were a separate company and NOT representing our timeshare. Their pitch was to get you out of your timeshare. No coherent information given other than, after being pressed, having a cost of typically $10,000 to $15,000 and maybe as long as 18 months to get you out of your timeshare! No written information was provided. At conclusion of meeting I asked for the $40 VISA and was told "oh no, you must call Texas office to get that". I called next day and got VM. Received call back couple days later from Sarah C. and told me she would follow up. I've sent emails and attempted phone calls over next couple weeks. One message said "the corporate office is in the field this week"! No replies to subsequent calls and emails! GC Getaways & Transfer Outlet is obvious scam. Never checked them out initially on YELP or BBB because I never knew their name until the meeting. I have found many other stories about them similar to mine. read more

I wish we had known what I have been reading about this company before we ever met them. SCAM!!!!! They didn't do what they said they would do. We will get you out of that timeshare, a big joke. They also said you don't have to pay no more maintenance fees while we work to get you out. This has been since 2018 and guess what.. still own the property today. Along with maintenance fees. Called them so much and they said we are working on it. So called back Tuesday and now they say the laws have changed. So now looking for a lawyer to sue them. My mom and dad bought this timeshare a long time ago. My dad was 82 at the time this company lied to him. He is now 85 and they are still with lies. This is a joke of a company! We purchased a timeshare on ebay. The company represented the seller. We were told at the time of purchase it "could" take up to 180 days to complete the purchase. EIGHT months later we are still waiting!!!! Trying to get a hold of any representative is no possible, no one responds to calls or emails.. awful customer service. They stated they mistakenly sent incorrect paperwork for ROFR - this is effecting our use of the timeshare in a timely manner - i.e. loosing out on the ability to use the timeshare this year and loosing points that were already rolled over from 2018 - a big selling point for us. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This company should be investigated by the Texas Attorney General. They also do business under the name Southern Reliable Transfers LLC. I executed a contract to purchase a timeshare in May 2022. They supposedly had a seller who I presume wanted out of their timeshare - a willing and able buyer with a willing and able seller and all they had to do was broker the transaction. What's not to like? They took my money and I'll bet my next paycheck they took an even bigger chunk of money from the seller as well. Here we are seven months later and they won't respond to emails - haven't since July. They ignored the Better Business Bureau. Bottom line: they have a lot of money from two parties in a transaction, I don't have a timeshare that I was supposed to be able to use next year and the seller is probably still paying maintenance fees they'd rather not be paying. Worse yet, I wouldn't be surprised if the timeshare went back to the company and so now there's nothing to sell or buy and GC Getaways is just going to keep everyone's money for a pair of contracts on which they defaulted. If you have a lot of money you don't feel like you need anymore, I recommend either charity or Vegas over these guys. read more

We realized too late that Timeshares were a bad investment and that they wouldn't follow through on their promise to buy back their Timeshare when we were done. When health problems made it impossible to use our membership we tried to sell but, we were unable to do so. We then contracted GC Getaways who promised to handle our Timeshare issue. We paid them over $12,000 as well as paying all the dues for 2019 to get us out of our Timeshare memberships. Unfortunately, we received a bill from one of the Timeshares for membership dues for 2020 plus interest and 2021 dues for a total of $2,900.00 and we realized Gold Crown Getaways did not complete their contract. We received an email from them in June 2020 and were told they were handling it. When we emailed them the newest bills with questions...they told us they would give us back $1,500. and we can keep the Timeshare or we could pay the dues up to date and they will sell it for us. We can't believe they would take our money and lie to us over and over and then basically tell us too bad...take it or leave it! Have to give one star because there is no 0 or negative. They promised to get me out of 3 time shares in 180 days. This would have made it so I wouldnt have to pay the next year maintenance fees. It is now, almost 365 days on top of the 180 days promised and only 1 time share has been taken care of. Costing me this years maintenance and late fees. They took my money, took money of the people they sold these to, and nothing has happened. I called my timeshare today and you know what, they would have taken my timeshare back for free, saving me thousands. Learn from me, do your due dilligence and dont use these scammers. We were contact by this company telling us that they were another company. So they lied about who they were then got us to attend a meeting under false pretenses. We left the meeting. No business cards, no material to review. Just some guy talking about who we should have been contacted by yet another company to get an offer on our time share. Smelled like a scam to me. I am very upset with this company! They were very misleading!!!! They originally said they were going to get me out of my time share which I thought meant they were going to purchase it which wasn't the case!! It was absorbed and transferred into a new program!! I purchased this membership two years ago and they told me I would have 0% interest for the entire time to pay off the cost of the membership and then I was getting charged interest!!!! I tried to discuss this with customer service and they made me feel ignorant and the rep was very condescending telling me I should read the contract!! The rep wouldn't take responsibility for their companies mishaps!! They did get me another card with 0% interest but now I have to pay the transfer fees for their mistakes of how they explained the program! Another thing is they gave me a free week when I joined and now they say they can't see it on my account and they don't want to honor it!! I pleaded with them to call the people that held the meeting and they won't! They don't want to take responsibility at all and kept telling me to move forward! I am very upset and paid $7,000. Do not deal with this company! Because of total misrepresentation by salesmen, Jeremy & Bobby, we signed a contract Dec. of 2018 believing what we were told. I have tried to explain our situation, but no one cares to listen. When I think there might be a breakthrough, all communication ceases. My complaint with Houston BBB was closed as unresolved because of lack of communication from this company. They have bilked us out of $8,190. The salesmen are no longer there and Tiffany was the one who ceased all communication through the BBB. I spoke with Suzanne, a verification officer once and she seemed very willing to help, but then would not return phone calls or reply to emails. They must be very proud of the way they do business.
