It is a warm friendly church with much to offer. *** Observations Pastor is a mid west style preacher Seems they have developed organization over organism, so programs and events are driving the church whereas our preference would be an organism that is driving the need for organization Appears to have an attendance of about 300 over three services A well balanced mix of young and old parishners *** Pro's This is a well run church that is obviously conservative and Bible based Seems that from an organizational standpoint they are on their way Evangelical message with an obvious passion for the lost Friendly greeting by very nice people Excellent help with children and information Nice campus in a nice neighborhood The worship band was talented The kids loved their Sunday School *** Con's The point of the pastors sermon was lost on all of us Pastor used lots of verses but he was all over the place and we were not able to keep up with him or discern what he wanted us to get out of it No cell/community life groups, they do however, have some small groups that meet weekly The worship leader sings out of key most of the time The song selection was not inspiring and rather worn out We assume the group could all sing, the only voice you could hear was the worship leader The drums drowned out the rest of the instruments and vocalists, it is a shame the sound was mixed so poorly because the other players were good musicians that could have added much to the impact of the music

Don't be lured by the bright lights and awesome music. Because underneath it is the most prideful, country club church I've ever and painfully experienced. The pastors care about their European vacations and vuori clothes and the amount of money you give. When you stop giving, you will get a phone call. When you reach out with concerns, they may or may not get back to you and say something like "we are proud of what we are doing at CRB. " It's more about what you wear and what you look like and the cliques you will never be a part of. I don't write this to hurt the church. I write this to urge people to run. Run far, far away from this place and find a bible loving christian church that embraces you with open arms, where you grow closer to God and where souls are saved. Run to place that when you need prayer, they will stop what they are doing and pray. Run from a place where the sermons are about how great they are and not about how great God is. I pray this church humbled themselves and repents.

Within the first 30 minutes of that first service, my wife and I looked at each other and said, "This is going to be our home church." I've never once felt judged here--neither for how I look nor for my past. Pastor Jerry and Pastor Tami have impacted our family's life in ways that are hard to put into words. The church also uses the Church Center app, which makes it easy to sign up for small groups and stay connected with upcoming events. Our family highly recommends this church. They say they live by the Bible. However, do NOT ever question it or quote the scriptures that contradict what they teach. I made that mistake and I was literally escorted out of the service by Pastor Nick and Pastor Gabe and told that I am no longer welcome to attend. Never in my life have I ever been kicked out of a church for asking questions. I mean isn't that the job of the pastors, to teach!? It was utterly ridiculous and embarrassing. What is even more shocking is the lead pastor taught on forgiveness about 2 weeks prior but apparently that doesn't apply to everyone. I do NOT recommend this church. Find a different place to worship God.

(I'm looking at you Pastor Nate and Carlie). I love the women's ministry too! Just a fantastic group of ladies of all different ages and walks of life worshipping God and having fun. I have met more people here in 7 months than I did the entire seven years at another church. It's not me- Im not different. This CHURCH is different. Jesus is for everyone and that's what this church lives out. I wasn't sure I would like watching the sermon on a screen (the main campus is in Vista.) But I'm so used to it now- It's not a big deal to me. The messages are fantastic. They are planted in scripture and I've learned a lot more about the Bible! I have felt nothing but kindness, love and support from North Coast Rancho Bernardo and I'm so so so grateful. My kids also really like the youth group!! If you're a christian- you need a church. We were with Taiwanese Lutheran Church for almost 2 years. Our toddler goes to the Children's…read moreSunday School when we attend the worship service. However, what happened in the Sunday School classroom raised our great concern and eventually resulted in our separation from this church. First and foremost, anyone was allowed to walk into the classroom, play with the kids, and feed them candy and other junk foods. We found it dangerous and talked to the principal. She told us "those are older people without grandchildren and they just love kids" and "this is God's house, you should tolerate them with love." We found this elaboration of "God's house" bizarre. After repeated communication which took longer than half a year (!) the principal finally allow us to post a small "No candy and soda" sign on the door of the classroom. Even after that we still see church goers distribute junk food to kids without asking parents--only not in the classroom. Another problem was about the TV usage. On occasions the lead teacher was away, we often seen the babies and toddlers (0-3 years old) sitting on the floor and watching TV while the substitute teacher and some church goers chatting behind the classroom. Last time we asked the teacher how long they've been watching TV like this, she told us "about 15 minutes" and "that's because kids were crying" and "we just want to distract them." We brought it to the principal's attention. To our surprise, she claimed, "we believe that some video is good for kids." The problem is, when we first brought our kids to the Sunday School, the lead teacher told us "the DVD player will be used only for music to limit the exposure of children to television." Not only the principal 's claim conflicted our previous discussion, but also against our believing. The damage that TV does to young brain has been overwhelmingly supported by scientific evidence. It's hard for us to imagine if anyone would conclude otherwise. The principal refused to work on this problem with us, but kept saying "this is God's house and you should tolerate the volunteers with love." Once again, we found this elaboration of "God's Home" bizarre... We decided to take our child away from the church to avoid further damage to mental health.

Lately, though,…read moresince the old pastor retired and a new "interim" one has been appointed, things have really changed, and not for the better. For example, a friend who has asthma respectfully requested that incense for the Triduum be done in an appropriate, but "lighter" way, so she could attend. She loves the Triduum, and attending means a great deal to her. The pastor flatly refused. She was heartbroken and practically in tears at his insensitive treatment of her. She has been an active member of this parish practically her whole life. I could easily cite other examples of negative things happening at this parish. The interim pastor should be gone in a few months, but the damage is being done and may not be so easy to reverse. AMDG.

My life was hell on earth all those years ago, and this church was where I was forced to attend and even go to the unaccredited school...and NO ONE helped me. This church, under former supervision of course, knew of my horrendous home circumstances, and never lent a helping hand, not one time. I just wanted to speak to the current pastor in person at the church to face my demons in the buildings where I once had faith, but it was tarnished and broken. I wanted the opportunity to forgive past transgressions at the site, and perhaps heal some old wounds. But I can see by their not contacting me that perhaps not much has changed in over fourty years!
