The menu for their drinks is based on 80s movies: Lost Boys, Scarface, Pulp Fiction, etc. Order the Pulp Fiction and they bring you a Delorean that takes off. Order the Lost Boy and they bring you a blood kit with a communion wafer. I ordered a Vodka Martini. The waitress went and got Frank the head bartender. I explained what I wanted: a classic Vodka Martini, stirred but not shaken. He immediately understood. What came out was perhaps the best martini I've had in Europe. No easy feat. I told frank that he should name it: Octopussy in homage to the Roger Moore 80s 007 film. 80s music is blaring and the crowd is Gen X. If you go, ask for a Vodka Martini and tell Frank a former "Company" man sent you.

The entrance is a bit hidden, you need to walk in and see the LE XIX sign on a billboard or the wall. Only reason for a 4 vs 5 star rating here would be that the menu is short and not easily accessible. It's written on the left side of the bar. Only, only do the mainstream popular classic cocktails, so nothing too extraordinary. But for sure a great spot to stop at either with a group or for an intimate date. The decor and seating is more classy than casual imo, but either way no need for a jacket or coat to come here, casual attire is fine.

We dined outside with 8 people total and had lovely waiter service. We were able to get drinks and walk along the beach while waiting on the rest of our party. The sommelier was a kind French lady who made us feel very welcome. We tried appetizers and main entrees, but no desserts. I loved the sakana roll and summer rolls, and my husband enjoyed his duck curry. We also had sangria and mojitos, all delicious. There is a small blue hut bathroom outside near the seating. The decor is beach eclectic and we loved getting to sit outside for sunset. The restaurant was busy, but every party was spread out so you did not feel crowded. This place feels like a hidden gem. Five stars for the incredible views and good service!

On the recommendation of others, we tried the salmon curry, fried rice, pad thai with chicken and the chicken satay. Our favorites were the salmon curry and the chicken satay. Both were so flavorful - the salmon was cooked to the right temperature and the curry had just the right amount of heat to it. The fried rice and pad thai tasted fine but not something we would be eager to order again. No room for dessert unfortunately. There is parking available at the restaurant but it is a small space. There is parking on the dirt main road and about a 2-5 minute walk to the restaurant. Beautiful views and nice staff. The prices here are a bit higher than most places in the area. Overall, Great place for date night, girls night, group night or whatever night you want..I recommend coming here during the golden hour to catch the lovely spanish sunset. Reservations are recommended!

The staff is extremely nice and welcoming, and not to mention they speak both Spanish and English. The food is doubly delicious. Specializing in Cuban style cuisine, they have it all. The fried plantains are great as well as the fried octopus. The Cuban dishes are the perfect portion, not too much but not too little. However, the food is relatively pricy, so know before you go (around €20 for a drink and entree). Speaking of drinks, I had a large mojito and they know how to do it up right. Honestly, this place is great and a sight to behold. From the ambiance to the food to the vista, what's not to like. Enjoy!

We followed the sunset to the end of the beach walk to find Azúcar de Cuba Beach Bar. With great popular music covers from 1970s to today playing in the background and setting the mood this beach bar has a great combo of indoor dining, as well as out door beach side dining and small cabanas. On weekends they have live bands providing entertainment. It definitely was not easy at first to place an order. We weren't seated at a table but the server suggest we sit at a side bar looking outward to the beach and although it was a high traffic area no server in particular seemed to be responsible for customers sitting in that area. The menu has a fun mix of Caribbean, Latin American, and Spanish inspired dishes. I had pico de gallo with tortilla chips which tasted fresh and flavorful. I asked for Sangria, the offered Rojo or Blanco. I chose red but recieved white Sangria which had a fruit and cinnamon sticks added. It was good, just not what I ordered. My friend wanted the 75 Euro Steak meal but they told him no they were out. Someone at a table nearby sat down after us but got the steak. When he flagged down the server again he asked a second time but they told him no again and went to find a server who spoke some English. That server told him they only had one steak left and it was 75 Euro per kilogram and the only steak in the kitchen was over 1 kg so it would cost too much. It seemed awfully presumptuous to make an assessment that my friend in shorts and flip flops could not afford such a steak. He was more that willing to pay for it but got frustrated with being told no. The food, drink, and atmosphere is 5 stars for sure but the service needs some improvement. I would definitely try again, maybe when they aren't so busy.
