We browsed with clear intent to purchase for nearly 20 minutes and were treated as though we were invisible. What we did receive was surveillance. An employee followed us at a distance the entire time -- not to help, but to watch. Then a regular customer walked in. The transformation was immediate. Multiple employees rushed to greet him, addressed him as "Doctor," asked about his weekend plans, and provided the attentive, personalized service that had apparently been unavailable to us moments earlier. For context: my husband is also a physician. The difference? They didn't know that. Luxury retail isn't about recognizing certain titles or catering to familiar faces. It's about consistency, professionalism, and making every customer feel welcome. What we witnessed was selective hospitality -- enthusiastic deference for the "right" person, suspicion and indifference for the rest. That isn't upscale. It's exclusionary. We won't be returning, and we'll gladly spend our money at Mr. Wicks who understands respect should not be conditional.

I walked past the service counter located towards the front of the store where TWO employees were so self consumed in their cellphones, that I was never even greeted or even acknowledged. I'm from Nashville, TN where there is real southern hospitality and greetings are a standard when someone walks into a place of business. When a customer walks into an establishment, at least look up to acknowledge their existence! Anyway, besides the ridiculous first encounter I had with the two lovely ladies who were supposedly employees, they have a fantastic selection of boots. I ended up getting a pair despite such a distaste for the quality of service due to me falling in love with a pair of Ariats. Overall, Crossroads has a wonderful selection but poor customer service. I won't be back again.

My daughter picked & tried on 3 homecoming dresses while the owners effortlessly zipped her in and taught her how to adjust in each dress like real Fairy Godmothers. I mentioned to them we may peek at prom dresses too. We are 6 hours from home and we know she is going to prom. They let her pull dresses to her hearts content- so incredibly accommodating. We "ooohhed" and "ahhed" while the owner taught me to take pictures at a certain angle to see the whole gown in one picture in her mirrors: brilliant. We gushed over THE dresses. I have no idea where we go from here for her Junior Senior prom dress wise... this experience was absolutely everything I prayed for and looked forward to when I learned I was pregnant with her. She tried on at least 15 dresses. Truly the most encouraging, personal, lovely, and wonderful experience. We will be driving back every summer for her dresses for the next 2 years. What a gift this was to find! I cannot wait to see what they have in there next year!

Both times were a blast! Not only are the people working there super kind and polite, easy and comfortable to socialize with, but their market has tons of beautiful and unique pieces! I have always been an antique store and garage sale junkie, so I'm all about places like these! ^__^ So for those like me, I strongly suggest to check out Country Club for sure! Like I did the first visit, today I picked out another small bundle of lovely woven baskets and locally found projectile-type artifacts. I did Not expect to find relics there, but I'm super glad I checked! And I'm proud to add some new additions to my relic collection. And baskets are a must have for funny, woodsy, nerdy peeps such as myself! hehe I use baskets for so many things. Mini desk baskets, closet baskets, baskets for my gardening, and more. This place will be a go-to every time I come down here to Arkansas when visiting my family. Who knows! I might grab another new specimen or two from that same vender.
