3 stars might be a little unfair, especially for Casper... This really should be a 4 star establishment, but I feel that the food is almost lacking in what they are trying to accomplish. The menu looks and sounds great, but in execution, I feel they seem to fall just short of their mark. Maybe my palette is just more comfortable with heavier salting to bring out the flavor of the food, rather then letting the food stand alone with minimal salt... I've eaten here several times and it's very consistent. The service is very knowledgeable. Beautiful atmosphere... I was kind of disapointed. Everyting sounded so fantastic on the menu. It was okay but not for the prices. It was my first time there and I was waiting to go there for a long time. View of the river great... Decor really nice... staff really nice and helpful... food just okay. Lack of flavor (seasoning). I had a rather interesting experience at Gegi's today. I usually enjoy the food and atmosphere with the view. However, today when I ordered a Reuben I asked to have a different cheese (something that has been done before at this establishment with no problem). The waitress returned shortly after to inform me that I could not order my Reuben with a cheese besides Swiss but I could have it without any cheese. This was shocking as switching out cheese is not crucial to the sandwich but merely an add-on. When asked why she said that it must be "the mood" of the person cooking. Well...I hope the "mood" gets better over there because they just lost a good paying customer over cheese. read more

I've been to Casper, Cheyenne and everywhere in between. And I can say there is no better place to eat than Gegi's! Great location, decor and staff make this one of the most memorable places to eat. The food is on a whole other level to be sure. Casper has a very sparse restaurant scene, and you would be hard pressed to find a decent place to eat. Thankfully Gegi's is there to save the day. From the melt in your mouth beef tenderloin to the fine wine and cheese, Gegi's is the place to be. Great desert menu too. So take it from me, if you live in Casper or are just passing through, make sure to stop and dine at Gegi's! read more
