The daily plans are relaxed and the trip is fun.
The price is included breakfast and dinner.
However the hotel and the bus chauffeurs(at the last day) is horrible.
According to the Bolderman, Hotel Grunten is a 3 star hotel, but the hotel wasn't even registered in other travel websites. It's more like a dirty hostel. (Please see my review about Hotel Grunten)
I'm not comparing the U.S service with the EU service, because in U.S it is based on tips, but in EU country, the employer gets salary, whether they are attentive or not, it depends on your luck.
The bus driver was relaxed and chill in the beginning, however after I wrote survey(they give everybody a survey paper)to the company, he acted irritated.
I don't know how he read what's in the envelope, who gave him the power to check the survey, is he supposed to look into it in the first place? But I'm sure he did.
My survey: " The bus chauffeur was friendly and relaxed, however he made too much sudden brakes, it's uncomfortable for the neck and back, even buckled. My stomach felt sick at the last day because of his driving skill. (Back and force and back and force and break and back and force, break...break again and force through every pass....UGH!) And he rarely stops at the scenery, we are back to the hotel pretty early every day, there is 1-2 hours waiting time for the 6pm dinner"
The hotel was unfriendly and dirty, the food is disgusting and unhealthy"
The bus driver gathered us together and said out loud:" People makes mistakes, it's rare for people not to make mistake, I can bet nobody is perfect, if you do nothing wrong in your life, you can win a cake from me. The hotel is clean, the food is okay, we always do it in this way and we will always do it like that"
I regret that I tipped him.
If he never look into the survey, how will he say those thing to "clear" himself out? and I'm sure he took away the bad survey.
Why would a company ask people to write survey? How do a company grow if they only keep the good surveys?
The bus driver informed us that the return time will be 6:30am, then somebody made a joke, then it become 5:30. WTF? He said it also during the breakfast, if you can finish your breakfast earlier, we can leave at 5am as well. He refueled the bus for his colleague on the way back and said it's nice to do those things for friends, but the price we paid is that we have to hurry things up for him to be nice to his "friends". Strange.
The farewell dinner at Beek was terrible. the manager was angry with the staff and showed his evil face. We didn't order any drinks and he thought the staff forgot to ask us. The manager acted like an idiot to his staff and looked unfriendly to our table. Why would I purchase wine that taste like vinegar? The pork was chewy and dry, the frikandel was cold, the schnitzel was hard and dry(is that my 5th schnitzel of a 5 days trip?), the fries were soggy.
The bus driver from Beek to the end destination is totally a jerk. When I asked where should I put my trolley, he shouted at me like asians are dumb, they don't understand dutch, so I have to shout rudely at them". When I get off the bus at the end destination, he shout it to me again " Stay in line". There is an old lady in front of me, I know she is very slow and I waited with patience, I just looked at her, then he start to shout. His spit was flying around. What an idiot!
This is my first time with Bolderman and it will probably be my last one.
It's truly a pity, cuz their route is pretty good.
P.S The entire trip is not for young people, the entire bus is at least 60+ and they are always in a hurry.
