Instead, he asked if we could remove it or had anyone we could call to do so. I dont know if anyone has something they can call to do such a task at 8 am on speed dial, but we sure don't! He then told us he won't risk taking it out and damaging the flooring, so instead pulled the bottom panel and stated that he'd have to order a part to repair it. My only concern is that without seeing the whole unit, how are we certain that the correct part is being ordered. I would love to tell what his name was. However, I was never provided with a name! Man had no people skills whatsoever, and for someone who works hand in hand with customers, I think he may need a new line of work!

I got sick of all the greedy sales tactics when an overpriced jeweler in Troy tried to take advantage of me (I was younger at the time and someone else was with me that can attest) and went to Thoma's. Not only were their prices extremely reasonable, no sales tactics or trying to gouge you... this guy was an absolute master at jewelery. I bought a ring from another jeweler, Bought a diamond from Thoma's (way more reasonable) and had him set it on a rushed timeframe. Delivered on time and every time that ring has gotten checked at other jewelers, they all start off saying "let's just check the prongs, I'm sure they'll need adjusted as it's been so long!"...then "Wow... whoever did this really knew what they were doing!" They started on the fence and got not even 1/8th of it completed which took MONTHS. Additional months went by and they were very seldomly at our home to work on the projects. He got a little bit more done, and again, asked for another payment that was not listed in the series of payments within the contract we signed. We agreed anyway as he said he was going through some personal things and we were empathetic. We did this a few more times, and after each payment work would basically cease and we wouldn't hear from Zack for weeks, months sometimes, it became very concerning. We would reach out to him and it would take a few times (sometimes days/weeks) before we would hear back, only after we were obviously annoyed and/or angry at the lack of communication and untimeliness of work. We had a couple parties/family get togethers that we wanted the work completed by and he would promise us each time that it would be done for each event. However; it never was. Had we not been very understanding and patient people, we could have escalated the matter but we decided to be patient and understand everyone goes through things. After it was all said and done, our deck and fence were completed almost a year after it was started, with the estimate being within a month. He was hard to reach, except if he was requesting payment and then he wanted it right then. Work was never consistent, his help varied and seemed to have a lot of guys who would start and then be gone within a couple weeks. One of the crew guys told us he wasn't getting paid so he would only spend a couple hours working and then leave. Zack was hardly ever at our home working, always other workers. How it was possible his employee wasn't being compensated was astounding, given the fact we had recently submitted a large payment to Zach. Additionally, each time he asked for payment it was an array of different methods and that was worrisome. We did Venmo a couple times, but to different individuals each time. Nothing about the experience was consistent or felt comfortable. I would not recommend them, I would even warn others from hiring them for any type of work.
