This gelatoria is usually quite busy, so when I went past in the evening and there was no line I stopped to buy a two scoop cone. They let me try a few different flavors and I went with the pistachio and the darks chocolate. The pistachio had more of a mild flavor so the dark chocolate really over powered it, but of the two, the dark chock really was my favorite. Loved the waffle they place on top.
3.5 stars rounding down the crowds for this was wild so I guess expectations were already set in place (heh my heart belonged to Gelato Fantasy Castello at this point) It took a minute to order and receive my affagato, along the organization wasn't really there -- it's like at a bar where being in line doesn't really work haha Presentation is there, whether it was the cute cup or the waffle cookie But the espresso wasn't very strong and the ratio of gelato to espresso ratio was a bit off -- there was more espresso than gelato and I think having it poured over the gelato, it melted everything so then my affagato became a lukewarm snack that halfway through I tossed away So I'd say skip
This gelato was Amazing. The lemon was fresh and tasted amazing, along with the flavors tasting just like what we ordered. The service was amazing and super fast. And the workers were so kind and knew many languages to greet each customer. Also the ambiance is fun, there is an inside and outside area. We've went here 2 times on our 3 day trip. Highly recommend
Why go to Italy if you're not going to have Gelato every night?! Venice had no shortage of gelato stands, but we visited this one several times , and were never disappointed! They've got a walk up window right on the sidewalk, or you can go in. They had a great selection of flavors, including some more "unique" flavors, like oreo. On this night, I ended up with a scoop of Oreo, as one a huge fan of cookies and cream, as well as a scoop of cherry cheesecake. Both were delicious, as were the other flavors I tried on different nights (kinder cereali and dark chocolate). The gelato, had a smooth creamy texture, with strong flavor. The small, was more than enough, in regards to an appropriate portion, not that I couldn't have eaten more. And as I mentioned, we visited a couple of times. Would certainly go back, and wish I could now!

But one accepts credit card (smaller store) and the other one is cash only (but sells more items than just gelato). The workers are really nice and helpful. They are about 20 flavors. I say go for a waffle cone since it is the same price as cup. Thier strawberry was really good. Salted caramel was okay, and snickers tasted just like the real thing. I would say their items are on the sweeter side. Medium size is really big with 3 flavors and it is only 4.5 euros. I would not go here out of my way but if you see it on the way, it doesn't hurt to give it a try!
After wandering around Venice, trying to get to San Marco, a gelato was the perfect thing to find. It was tucked away in a small, but busy, alley, just minutes from the main San Marco square. €3 will get you a piccolo (small) cone with two decently sized scoops. I chose Oreo and Nutella and did not regret it.
A must go for gelato! I'm lactose intolerant but they have a couple fruit flavors which are dairy free plus dark chocolate. Got a small size with lemon and dark chocolate - serving sizes are super large and total came out to 3€ The lemon was citrusy but not overpowering and the dark chocolate was my absolute favorite, super rich and creamy. Would definitely visit again if I came back to Venice!

You're in Venice... it's summer, have a little gelato. I noticed several of these Gelato shops while walking around. The repot having handmade gelato. Here's what I know. The two people working here were very nice, fluent in English and could describe all the flavors as needed. We sort of like the little food/gelato shops on the smaller streets... feels more authentic. Between the two of us we had four flavors. I quite fancied the Dubai. read more
Best gelato during my visit to Italy. I mean this to be the utmost compliment because I ate gelato almost everyday I travelled through Venice and Rome. My boyfriend and I were passively walking around exploring the streets of Venice. You honestly see gelato shops everywhere but the selection at Gelato Fantasy looked appealing to us. We shared a Small - 2 Scoop (5€) in which my boyfriend picked Hazelnut and I picked Pistachio (+1€). The texture of the gelato was smooth and incredible. You can taste the high-quality ingredients in the products. Both flavors were delicious. A truly sweet memory! This truly lived up to all of my gelato fantasies while exploring Italy. read more
My son and I have become gelato connoisseurs over our multi week travel throughout Europe this summer. This was our last gelato before returning back to the United States and it was very good. The reviews alerted us to this location and we followed directions to get here via my phone. It did not disappoint. There was lots of selections, but we're pretty bland in selecting chocolate every time. So I recommend visiting this gelato. It's close to the square and very convenient to locate. read more

While out walking the area of the Ponte do Rialto, we wanted to stop for gelato and sorbetto and came here. Service was very friendly and the guy working was very helpful. They were busy, but the line went quickly. The sorbetto tasted pretty good. read more

The fantasy gelato place has two stores in the alley, and they have the same selections of ice creams. The older one is for takeout only and the newer one has a small dining area inside. I've tried their pistachio, salad caramel, and cheese cake flavors, all are pretty good and creamy. read more

Great little spot for gelato. LOTS of vegan options, all clearly marked. Even the little cookie that is served with the gelato is vegan! The staff were super friendly too. I got pistachio and mint chip. The pistachio was amazing! Highly recommend! read more

Just happened to be walking by and saw some other people getting gelato. Glad we went back because it was absolutely delicious. 6 euro for the medium cup is a bit expensive though but it was well worth it. I got the strawberry, straciattella, and cheesecake read more

We found Gelato fantasy via Yelp on our visit to Venice. Luckily it was not a far walk from our hotel & google maps took us straight there. At first it can be a bit over whelming with all of the flavor options, but we asked the staff what their favorites were & started from there. You are able to try samples if you ask & they're super friendly. We decided on a rich & creamy + fresh combo so it became lemon sorbet for me & Venetian cream for my husband. Let me tell you, I'm usually not a fan of gelato in America, but this was delicious! The lemon gelato tasted like sweet frozen lemonade & the Venetian cream tasted like a Ferrero rocher but with cream, it had delicious swirls of hazelnut chocolate. The staff said that the Venetian cream is a popular sell. We ended up ordering that flavor every where we went. Keep in mind the portion sizes are huge! So my husband and I ended up sharing most of it. Enjoy! read more
I found this gelato stand on Yelp while visiting Venice. We only had one day and getting good gelato is obviously as important as seeing Piazza San Marco and the basilica. I had a cup of pistachio and dolce latte. It was rich, but very good. The wife ordered a cup of orange and melon, which ended up being a perfect combination. The crew packs an insane amount of gelato into a cup and we only needed the small size. I hope to be back soon. read more

The gelato here was just okay - it's located in the midst of all the touristy things in Venice, and I didn't find as good as other gelatos that I had in Italy over 10 days. The one upside is that the scoops are large and they have a large selection of flavors, but I thought there was too much sugar in the gelato. I got pistachio and chocolate ice cream - the pistachio was artificial green color and didn't have any real pistachios in it. The chocolate was decent but a bit on the grainy side and too sweet. I wouldn't come back here again - if you don't mind sweet gelato and want big servings, this place will do, but I wouldn't make a special trip to come here or come back again. I've had better gelato elsewhere. read more

As I told myself to not eat gelato on my last day in Venice because I was scared that I was gaining so much weight from eating gelato almost every day. Then as my husband and I was exploring the small inside streets we stumbled upon fantasy Gelato. There was a bunch of folks hovering the store trying to order. So being a curious bee I peeked at their flavors. Then BAM 2 scoops please! They had cheesecake flavor which is one I didn't see at other gelato stores and I couldn't resist myself. Ordered: *cheesecake- delish! Seriously it was like heaven! *cherry-seems to be a favorite since many ppl were ordering this. It was definitely yummy in my tummy. The cherry wasn't too sweet. *coffee-had just the right amount of coffee flavor and wasn't bitter. I totally didn't regret stumbling upon fantasy gelato. It was super cheap compared to other gelato places I've tried in Italy. And they are very generous with the portion size so I got more bang for my euro bucks! :) and they were definitely more patient and nicer than other gelato places. 2 thumbs up!!! This yelper highly recommends you to come here! Tips: *They do allow samples. *there's some flavors that are not in their display case. So you can ask for it and they'll give you a sample. *lots of flavor options read more

The girl working behind the counter was sweet and friendly. She was patient and let everyone try some flavors. She also could understand English. The gelato here is good and fairly priced. We stumbled upon it while wandering the streets of Venice. Gelato is a must while you are in Italy! read more

Delicious! This shop is a simple counter facing the street right near Piazza San Marco. The flavors are vast (we had chocolate, dark chocolate, salted caramel and Nutella and can vouch for those) and the prices are fair. It was creamy with a good balance between flavor and sweetness. read more
I tried 5 gelato places in Venice today, and 3 yesterday, and this is my FAVORITE by far! Of course, I'm feeling absolutely horrible after that much gelato in 2 days, but this was the place that made it all worth it. You immediately notice when looking that their gelato is more interesting than the standard touristy Italian gelato, and the flavors are all topped or mixed with something to look beautiful in presentation. The cheesecake flavor was incredible!! I'm going back tomorrow for another scoop of that and to try two more new flavors. The Sacher was delicious as well, and so was the Baileys flavor. Portion sizes were very generous as well! Gelato in Italy is almost always incredible, but also starts to seem interchangeable, like if you pass one place you can just go to the next...but THIS is the place that has that uniqueness to make you want to return! Update after trip #5: Strawberry (fragola) is now my new favorite - as I've officially tried every single flavor. You can taste little bits of strawberry in it, and it's easily the best ice cream or gelato I've ever had. Cheesecake now takes 2nd place, and Sacher 3rd. read more

Gelato Fantasy is a great gelato shop! Very friendly staff and fairly fast considering how busy they were at 10:30pm. The gelato was amazing and you can tell it was homemade. I would recommend for anyone looking to grab a nice treat for walking around and shopping! read more

Great Gelato spot with a wide variety unique flavors . I tried the cheesecake with strawberry as my second flavor. It was very rich and creamy . I also had my gelato in a hazelnut and chocolate sugar cone for .50euro extra . Reminded me of the that candy . Pricing was extremely reasonable. Two scoops of gelato on 2 specialty cones was only 7 euros . read more

I'm not even a gelato person and after walking by the shop a few times on my way to and from my hotel I had to stop. Wow! So much gelato for $3 euro!!! I honestly couldn't even eat it all. There's always people there but not to the point there's a long line. Well yet until people find out about this hidden gem. No sorbet from what I could tell other than lemon but this is the spot for rich gelato. read more
