This is not the first time I have studied in Melbourne, I've studied for 2 years in Monash and a…read morebachelor degree from Melbourne University. Now I'm doing a tiny one year dental course from this institute, and it's the worst decision I've ever made. The teachers are mean and unprofessional! We have 2 trainers everyday teaching us different methods and have an absolutely different explanation for what they want. The admin people keep loosing our unit marks and send us letters stating our slow progress. When my class complained about this they simply apologised saying the trainers dint send them our updated scores. The teachers keep screaming uselessly, if you don't get anything they make you feel like a looser and insult you in front of the whole class. I suggest don't ever apply in this institute ! We have filed complaint forms too but they do nothing about it.

So I thought what the hell it's close, I'll give it a go. I'll admit being an institute I was a little nervous thinking some student hack would leave me looking a bit worse for wear. I walked in and one of the teachers quickly found someone to help me. Walking towards the back of the building to the treatment rooms I was a bit concerned but my beauty therapist was chatty friendly and über professional. The treatment rooms were spotless, not as pretty as other salons but hey with the cost of an eyebrow wax only $11, less then half of the average full service salon I don't mind a spare treatment room. My therapist was excellent. She was not a student but rather a full time employee who works there, so treatments are done by experienced staff. She also trimmed by fringe and I was pleasantly surprised when the bill came to $19. Apart from hair and waxing they also do massages, pedis and manis. I will be back and will be referring my friends to go there as well. Great value for money and great service.

This quirky little business has some amazing alternative workshops for adults…read more I attended kink 101 on a Saturday and it ran for 5 hours. It was very informative and you can see what you will expect on the website but it's all in the delivery. The organiser is very well informed about what he teaches and provides a fun, safe and comfortable environment for all who attend. I would recommend all who want to broaden their minds and take a dive into open exploration!

Workshops on wacky subjects are always a fun way to try something new and break into a new skill. I…read moretried the Kink 101 and had a blast! I want expecting to be too into it but ended up learning a lot and appreciated the opportunity to explore subjects like consent and safe touch. As well as the chance to 'play' with some lovely people. These adult only spaces aren't as intimidating as you would think. In fact, it was really relaxed and the facilitators were funny and interesting. I especially liked how queer friendly it was and pro-poly; or whatever relationship style really! If you are a bit more conservative you could go for the heteronormative group events or if you are a 'gender bender' there is a group for you! Couples and singles are welcome as well and as a single female attendee I felt very safe. At the very least, here is an opportunity to spice up your relationship with some new ideas and discussion. Bonus: most classes have a pay as you feel option above the flat rate of about $40
