I turned up during a sporting event and felt a liitle uncomfortable, like I had walked into someone's lounge when family and friends were watching telly. Enjoyed my drink of 'Border Bitter' though and think the pub would be a charming place to visit when sport free. If you are coming here from the train station be careful not to miss the turning and walk a mile down the wrong roadlike someone I know did :)
