I felt the need to belong to a church. Was invited to Rock Creek by a Nurse working in a hospital I…read morewas her patient. I went and my life had never been the same. I was welcomed with open arms by the most loving caring people I have ever met. I am attending regular since the first Sunday. The people are wonderful helpful and really care. The one who gave the invite is now my best friend she helps me so much I couldn't get along without her. The pastor is wonderful and always has a beautiful service that seems to hit home every Sunday. The praise and worship team are wonderful never leave feeling empty. As far as I am concerned you could not find a more loving caring Church. AMEN

First time attender. 5 star report!…read more My 15 year old daughter and I attended and immediately enjoyed the vibe. We were welcomed at the door which is nice. We walked Into the main hall and due to covid there was limited seating. A lady sitting in an aisle welcomed us and moved so we could have a seat - the first of numerous people genuinely warmly engaging us. Worship was brilliant. The sermon was well thought through and scripturally strong. I'm always interested in my daughters reactions. She was laughing and engaging with the teaching - NOW that's a good sign. After church we reviewed what we experienced and my 15 year old was enthusiastic and would definitely return. Of note was the pastors wife - my daughter thought she was very nice and left a great impression. I would certainly recommend this community to my friends. Looking for a church - I would certainly invest time looking in at this spot.

I would disregard what Carri M wrote because she's mad that she got caught cheating on her husband…read morewith a former "leader" of the church who is old enough to be her grandfather. If your going to go on a social media network at least spell check what you've written because no one knows what "hyprocracy" or "unfortunatly". Instead of worrying about how the church is doing 3-4 years later without you maybe you could of used that time learning grammar and actually reading my post correctly considering no where does it state anything about checking facts. A true disciple of poor leadership is holding onto bitterness with something you've caused. If your not willing to come before the congregation and apologize for your actions whether it was YOUR fault or not (which I know it was your fault because no one forces anyone to cheat) what does that say about you ? How can someone be so immature and out of the start fabricating something on Yelp in the middle of the night. This church is confused 70% of the time but they got some good people. You have to do with the little you got so you can't blame them. Like many churches there's always drama but it's a safe environment to be at. Be a judge yourself and go visit the church and if you do see any negative comments it's probably Carri creating other accounts trying to be mean.

I had to visit this church because I did not believe the reviews, but they were correct. People did…read moresmile at us and seemed friendly, but no one was quick to approach us. Everyone seemed engrossed in important conversations and not in ministering or welcoming visitors. I can see how the reception would be very disappointing for new Christians or those seeking to know more about Christ. In fact if you fall into either of these groups (new Christians or seeking to know more about Christ), please ask someone you know, who is a Christian for church recommendations. Visit those churches firsts, and if you still want to visit this church then go. I don't want you to be disappointed with religion from the start. Well, after being there for about 15 minutes, we were finally greeted by a guy who told us that no one said a word to him when he first came to the church, so he felt like he should come welcome us. He told us many months went passed before he decided to stand up and tell the congregation that he was there. (I'm assuming he did this during the designated time in the worship service.) What is that? Get this. We sat a row away from one deacon and three rows away from another--we didn't find this out until near the end of the service when the deacons and staff were called to the pulpit to be prayed for (church transitioned today to a new team). Neither of these guys approach us when the congregation was asked to say, "Hello to someone near you." Wow. Is this a demonstration of the second greatest commandment? Unfortunately, there are a lot of churches out there like this. Churches like this would probably ignore Jesus if he came visiting. I'm giving this church three stars because of the lone Christian that did come to greet us.

We attended the bbq's, church in the park, etc and no one ever talked to us. It seemed like cliques were already established. We hung in there because the message was good; but that was it. We started longing for more fellowship so we went and found another church that is much more welcoming and loving.
