Pastor Robby and his entire family are some of the most sincere down to earth people I have ever met and he will make sure you feel welcomed. It is in a very convenient location in Royal Oak with two services that will help if you are an early riser like me as well as those who may come a little more prepared to the second service. Times of service are 9:30am and 11:00am on Sunday. They also have livestream services you can find online! Just check it out!

This church is massive. It definitely deserves the name of a shrine…read more The altar is in the center of the church and the pews all jet out from every end of this central altar. You can definitely see the altar at any seat in the building, even upstairs on the balcony. The only difficulty is if you're not facing the main altar, as the priest often will face out one way. The church is the most beautiful during Christmas. It's always well decorated and filled with poinsettias and Garland, streamers and lights everywhere. The other downside of this church is that it's so massively huge, but it does not feel warm and welcoming. I will often go to this church for Easter and Christmas, because if it's close proximity to my house. For regular Sunday visits I will often go to other smaller churches, that feel more comfortable and cozy. Still every time I'm inside of this church in a few, I'm always struck and in all of the interior design and structure of this Shrine.

We are coming up on our 1 year anniversary and I couldn't have found a better place for my family to worship the Lord. They are not a cult I promise you. You're never asked to do anything you can't do. As for money, they don't force you to give. Like amy church you go to they ask to give ONLY what you can. Theres been times we couldn't give and I promise you we weren't shave shamed out made to feel less then anyone else.

Many were welcoming and inspiring. But when we landed at St. John's, we found a strong welcoming spirit and commitment to helping others. We were approached and welcomed warmly but not intrusively. We are continually impressed with the amount and depth of this congregation's commitment to social justice and to actively helping their neighbors and each other. We were not the only new comers to St. John's. Other couples and families have recently joined this strong congregation.
