Her stated reason was that my trauma was too severe but she knew the background before agreeing to see me and told me that she finds virtual EMDR to be effective. A counselor (in this case, just a social worker) would make a recommendation for how to continue treatment with another provider but it seems as though Taffie is not invested in the well-being of her clients, at least not my well-being. She wasted my time with an appointment and also unnecessarily billed my insurance for services she's not capable of providing. Irresponsible and unprofessional. The unexpected email she sent me this evening took my breath away as I was teleworking -- completely inappropriate.
