    Buttermilk Pancakes

Second visit topped the first... the service was caring and quick! The place had a great decor and was super clean! We had the Buttermilk Pancakes and the California Omelette! All the details were there with the food! From the house made jam to the whipped butter to the heirloom tomatoes. If you are looking for a great breakfast spot, where you won't leave feeling gross and ready for a nap, but you will leave full and feeling great... this is your new go-to spot! We are so happy to find local family owned spots to make part of our regular rotation, and Gentle Giant is now on our list. Can't wait to try their lunch!

We came here for the first time tonight, and are already planning our Sunday breakfast. The food was delicious, the quality definitely met our expectations, and the fact that they are cleaner than most restaurants, what else could we ask for. It's a very cute spot, small and special. Fresh flowers on every table, and the service was on point! We will for sure be back, with our extended family next time!

We came to try this out and it seemed busy which is good since they are just opening, however it took forever to get our food. There were two of us and we were literally there for an hour and 15 minutes. We waited a very long time just for food. The interior is small and quant with the ability to grab and go at the counter but they do wait the tables. There was an entire soccer team with their families so I think that is why it took so long, at least I hope so. I hope this place can survive but they really need to work on the food wait times. The server thanked us for our patience but honestly we nearly walked out.

Stopped by today after our bike ride, the place is small, but has delicious food and excellent service! I got the gentle giant, the pancakes were delicious ( I asked if I could try both pancake options and they were very accommodating) one pancake was buttermilk and the other a gluten free pancake with chia seed and flax seed, both were delicious. They also have a kids menu which was perfect for my daughter. They have a few tables outside which were perfect to enjoy breakfast on a Sunday morning. I will definitely be returning!

Inside - clean and plenty of tables

Great service, food was good and it felt very healthy and fresh. No wait time, they had some lively music

We got there on a Saturday around 3:30 pm and the bar was already packed with regulars. (Thats always a good sign) We sat at one of the bar round tables and got a couple beers and some food. Our server was incredibly helpful and friendly. Going to far as to modify a meal for my husband, who keeps a strict diet. I got the short rib and mash, and it was really flavorful. I added some veggies to feel better about myself. They didn't have anything green, but you take what you can get. The vibe was fun and vibrant. Lots of laughter. Great viewing with TV's. When we ordered drinks, the bartender already seemed a bit rude and unwelcoming, which set the tone for the visit. To avoid any issues and just enjoy ourselves, we decided to sit outside quietly. Unfortunately, the situation got worse. Two employees came outside and approached us in a very disrespectful way and made a racist remark, referring to us as "two tequilas" and saying "clean up those two tequilas," basically telling us we needed to leave immediately. It was extremely uncomfortable and offensive. No customer should ever be treated that way. Restaurants and bars should be places where everyone feels welcome and respected. Allowing employees to behave in a racist and disrespectful manner toward customers is unacceptable. What makes it even more disappointing is that I was actually considering bringing a group of coworkers here in the future. After this experience, I absolutely won't be doing that. The service was rude, unprofessional, and completely ruined what should have been a relaxing afternoon.

From…read morethe first bite, you can tell every ingredient is chosen with care and every burger is crafted with real skill. This isn't your average fast-food patty -- it's the kind of burger that reminds you how great a simple meal can be when it's done right. The patties are perfectly seasoned and cooked just how you like them -- juicy and flavorful with that ideal char on the outside. The buns are soft but sturdy enough to hold everything together, and the toppings are fresh, vibrant, and thoughtfully balanced. Whether it's melted cheese, crisp lettuce, caramelized onions, or tangy house sauce, each component adds something delicious without overpowering the rest. What really makes this place special is consistency and attention to detail. Every visit delivers the same high quality -- hot food, friendly staff, and fast service. The sides are great too -- the fries are crispy and golden, and their milkshakes are rich, creamy perfection. The bar/pub atmosphere is lively, a bit crowded, and warm with some seats at the bar and tables for groups. Shoutout to Sam, who was very sweet, checked in on us, brought our orders out hot and fresh, and even gave us a small dessert at the end to celebrate an anniversary! We had the Dark Star Oatmeal Stout with our order of the brie fondue, corned beef reuben, and lamb burger. The brie fondue, to my surprise, was not 100% brie, but rather had a whipped and lighter texture. I thought the amount of bread/pears were enough, and we actually kept it to dip our sandwich/burger in. The presentation was beautiful and it was a great appetizer. The corned beef reuben was so good - the meat fell apart but wasn't fatty, the bread was toasted (one side was a bit too crispy but wasn't burnt which I'm fine with), and the fries were skinny and crispy. I only tried a bite of the lamb burger, but it was juicy and gamey. Yum! Price-wise it's a bit high for pub food, but it was still excellent. This would be a good spot for a date or if you want to go to a more fancy pub/bar!

The salad was fresh and the quinoa was toasted so it added a lovely crunch. The bread was served warm and the honey butter was delicious. The Reuben roll didn't quite do it for me but it seemed like a fun concept. For entrees I shared the fabled chicken and fish and chips, both of which were fantastic. The entrees were served hot and the portions were quite large. The chicken had lots going on but all good stuff, especially the jalapeño cornbread. The fish was also perfectly battered and light inside. Would definitely return!

We were initially drawn to Domenicos because of the stunning views of lake Mission Viejo. We had the option of sitting inside, near the bar or outside on the patio. We chose to sit outside on the patio and got seated right as the sun was going down. They were nice enough to offer us blankets since it was getting chilly. We ordered the Chicken Alfredo Pizza and the Chicken Basil Cream Pasta. To start, the pizza was truly phenomenal. There was plenty of chicken to compliment the creaminess of the Alfredo sauce along with the dough itself. We ordered a medium pizza and it was more than enough to feed two of us. The Chicken Basil Cream Pasta was also rich and full of flavor. The serving portion was large, and we were also given Parmesan to complement the dish. Overall, the dish was enjoyable. They forgot to add the sauce and the fish was dry. That would have been fixable but our server never came back to the table to check on us and we had to find someone to help us. They brought us some sauce to pour over what was cold fish by then. We had several good meals on our prior visits so chalk it up to one bad night. Last night we went back after quite a while. Three out of the four of us had terrible meals. Two of us were planning on ordering the salmon salad but decided not to as the salmon was farmed not wild. We pivoted to the eggplant parm. It was a mistake. It was honestly the worst eggplant parm we've ever had. It was more crust than eggplant and so dry. The pasta that came with it had almost no sauce and was also dry. We asked the server to bring us some marinara sauce. The third person was also not happy with their meal. The three of us should have sent our meals back. Our server was lovely and attentive and the atmosphere was great but I think after two bad food experiences we won't be going back.
