I have been plant based for a month now, it's been all home cooked meals and snacks. This was my first plant based restaurant to try and it did not disappoint! The flavors!!! First and foremost, the environment was great. I was welcomed as soon as I walked in. Ever single person/ family that walked in was greeted by someone whether it was a cook or the cashier. The place itself is decent sized and has outdoor patio seating as well for groups I was able to look over the menu and ask all the questions I had and the woman who took my order was a gem! My receipt says Norma was the servers name. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming. Now the food! I ordered a macho burrito. The cashier recommended the One Love Burrito. Told me it was their most popular. Upon hearing Buffalo I went with the second choice and I have no regrets whatsoever! I absolutely loved the flavor and the fact that it came with chips and 'sour cream' and salsa! Helped with that Mexican restaurant burrito feel. There was such a rich flavor to this burrito that had me savoring every bite especially that bottom piece of the burrito. I was very excited to see a vegan restaurant in the area and eager to try some of the dishes that I had never imagined could be made vegan, such as the Reuben sandwich. It had been years since I'd had anything like a Reuben sandwich, so the first time I ordered food here that is what I got. The menu contains many other similar meaty dishes that I miss from when I used to consume meat. All of the food here has good flavoring, you can taste a lot of flavors that are similar to the real meat dishes they are replicating. The chicken sandwich is very similar to a McDonald's chicken sandwich. If you are craving meat but don't want to consume carcasses, then this is the best option in the area. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because all dishes contain fake meats that felt highly processed to me with a lot of salt. Every time I eat here, I'm left feeling a little crappy. As someone who maintains a strict vegan diet, I typically eat on the healthier side. My body is not accustomed to highly processed foods with a lot of salt. I'm not saying the food gets me sick, just saying I feel better after eating foods that are a bit more natural and healthy. But hey, how on earth are you going to make a sandwich that tastes like a Reuben sandwich that is cruelty-free and going to be healthy? It's just not possible to check all of those boxes. If you're vegan and looking for some tasty food that can satisfy some cravings, then this place is great. If you're seeking healthier alternatives and thinking that when something is labeled "vegan" that it'll be a healthier option, then I'd suggest just grabbing a salad rather than highly processed and very salty plant-based meats. read more

We were looking for a vegan restaurant to have lunch in Temecula since our daughter is anaphylactic to dairy and the Gentle Grill had a five star rating. Super friendly staff and fast service! The cauliflower buffalo bites were excellent, not too spicy and very flavorful. I had the gentle salad which was exactly what I needed, healthy and filling with delicious chimichurri and Italian dressings on the side. Our daughter had the gyro sandwich which she devoured. And wifie had the strawberry field salad which she loved. The "chicken" was surprisingly good. As we ate we all keep commenting how good our meals were. We found this wonderful vegan cafe last month and have driven 30 miles to come back 3 times already. Recommended it to our friends who can last Saturday. This place was absolutely incredible. The food was out of this world. There were so many options and everything vegan! I had the gyro and wow it tasted so much like a normal gyro you would get from an authentic restaurant. We also tried the Reuben which was so tasty. I've been here a lot, but my boss wanted to take me out to lunch for my annual review, and he knew I loved this place so he brought me here. He's not vegan or even vegetarian, so I was worried he wouldn't like anything. But he got their burger and said it was so good! I highly recommend their "carne" asada fries! Definitely my favorite. The location is not ideal - it's hard to get in the area, and if its busy then parking is tough, but so worth it. All vegans and vegetarians need to try this place out! (although they have "fast food" type food, please note that this is not a fast food place. They make your food when you order, so wait times can take a bit. The most I've waited was maybe 20 mins. Coming back from Palm Springs we found this little gem on our way back. We saw the menu and reviews and wanted to see if it lived up to the reviews. It sure did. We both decide on the gyro sandwich. He chose the minestrone soup for his side and I chose French fries. As soon as hubby tasted his soup he declared it the best vegan minestrone soup he ever had. It was filled with large chunks of veggies and the broth had a little kick to it. My side of French fries were thin cut with a seasoning and crispy and hot. They were great. We both enjoyed our seitan gyro sandwich made with fresh and tasty veggies. In the middle of the meal our waitress asked if everything was okay. Hubby told her how he felt about the minestrone soup. She passed it on to chef Marley, and he came out to thank us for stopping by and for the compliments. We said we would be back again. The place was clean and the prices were reasonable. I stayed in the area on a trip and checked out this place due to location and the mostly good reviews. I...dont think I'd go here again, nor do I think I'd really recommend it. My experience just left me with a disheartened vibe. The food itself was okay. The buffalo cauliflower and the ranch was actually super tasty. The BLT was not great but not terrible, it was just like a sad sandwich. The young man who took my order, no problem with him. He was friendly and enthusiastic, and even informed me that if you order online you get like 10% off. I opted to just order at the counter though. But when I ordered the blt and he asked if I wanted it in a combo with fries, I asked if I could sub or pay extra for the buffalo cauliflower. He wasn't sure, so he asked a female employee nearby if that was possible. Without looking at me, she just sternly and bluntly said "No, we can't do that. If she wants the cauliflower she has to order it separately." Like damn dude, I'm right here. And if it's not possible then it's not possible, I'm not requesting they change their entire ordering system. Definitely tastes more like fast food which was disappointing since for us, being vegan means also being healthy and for some odd reason, fast food and junk food vegan places are very popular right now. We had the pulled pork (jackfruit) sandwich. Very tasty but could have used Cole slaw or tomatoes and/or lettuce. It was just mayo and jackfruit on ciabatta. The fries were so good. They tasted like McDonald's fries! The cauliflower (and cilantro aioli) were also delicious but were soggy by the time we ate them. I had saved this place thanks to an IG friend (Hey @So.Cal.VeganFoodie!) The young lady taking our order was super helpful and patient! I told her it was our first time there and I wasn't sure what I wanted. She helped us navigate thru the menu, telling us what was popular and which ones were her favorite. We decided on the brisket sandwich and fries, Cauliflower bites, and a One Love Burrito. Everything was super flavorful tho I could've used more fries...but I suppose that's just preference lol.
