She has given me several exercises while at the center and a worksheet to follow so I can continue doing them at home. I feel confident in her abilities in helping. But beyond that, the place itself is very welcoming and friendly. I love to hear the laughter and banter that goes on between the staff with their clients and with each other. The seem to all genuinely like their jobs and each other! I will continue to use them until I no longer need their help.

I have the text sent from your office. I explained my both by text and on the messages that my husband has dementia and lower back pain and I am recuperating from a very recent (3 weeks) liver transplant. I am posting this because I am appalled that you would treat anyone this way. Maybe you are so busy and profitable that you don't need to be responsive. In other words a 62 year old man is not capable of handling an opioid which, by the way has no known lasting side effects, but a steroid shot with it's many known very dangerous side effects could be given on the spot. Maybe because a a steroid shot which he could charge my health plan for 700+ dollars seemed like a better "investment" for his la-de-da office practice than an age old innocuous prescription for a painkiller.

It kept me up all night, I would get 15 minutes sleep at best since before waking up. I went to Dr. Barrick on the advice of another neurosurgeon Dr. Oslewski from Misrecordia hospital in New Rochelle for a second opinion on surgery. The best thing I ever did. I decided to go with Dr. Barrick because of his knowledge and minimal invasive surgery. The other Dr. would've kept me in the hospital for a week then in internal rehab for two weeks. Dr. Barrick said I would be back home within two days, not true, I was home within 15 hours from the surgery. He came to my bedside before the surgery and after the surgery, he also took my wife aside which put her at ease. The follow ups were fantastic, he took his time, explained everything and when the insurance company wouldn't give me my bone stimulator he got involved by calling them personally three times. I got the bone stimulator. The numbness went away and I was sleeping again. Thank you very much Dr. Barrick, I HIGHLY recommend this Doctor.

Currently shopping for alternative doctors.

Although the business is under the umbrella name of Orthopedic Associates of Dutchess County, each area is its own entity, hence when checking in you fill out the same forms each time, and they use a computer system! A prescription needed a prior approval after surgery on 6/6 and I am still trying to get it even though I have called and emailed numerous times. I was told on 6/6 that the request was put in, however on 6/7 I spoke with the insurance company and the request was not put in. When I spoke to the nurse about it I was told not to worry, it is not that important of a medication. Then why prescribe it? At that point I reminded the nurse that we were told it was to help the pain and to help him not to use the narcotics so long. The answer was yes, that is true. Seems important to me.

There's a TV in the spacious waiting room. If you arrive early, for your appointment, there's an excellent chance you will be seen before your scheduled time, if the clinician isn't busy. They are an orthopedic facility; treating musculoskeletal conditions. Using minimally invasive procedures, before those that would involve P/T afterwards. Of course the Orthopedist will recommend what procedure is to be done, based on the patient's condition, diagnosis, test results and other factors. The staff is very conscientious in maintaining sanitary conditions and the patient's wellbeing. I feel very confident going to them. I have close to 20 years of clinical experience working in a large hospital in nyc and have seen a lot situations.

Just received a nasty call from his 'help' that they have no records for me and he is not seeing patients over 60 years old for knee issues. I find this not only sloppy but as insensitive and uncaring as it gets. I wish him luck with his younger crowd that he prefers.
