All volunteers have unique bar code ID's and a dedicated volunteer room to chat, rest in shifts and snack on the good food for free. Warehouse sorting and Distribution is huge but again meticulously arranged. There are separate sections for sorting, distribution,baby area , huge walk in refrigerator to keep fruits and vegetables fresh. No expired or old food is distributed. Fresh fruits n vegetables are given out to needy people free of cost and it is once a week for a family or single person. Very helpful and cooperative staff who are always on the floor to help out with anything required. Great place to volunteer as you are not only welcomed but treated good.

Burns Bog is such an important piece of land, do yourself a favour and visit it at least once…read more There is such an incredible amount of history wrapped in the area and the biodiversity is something that you won't find anywhere else. Parking is at the back of Plant Ice and there's another trail system that hooks onto the bog trail. Each season offers something a little different and the land is always changing. The Burns Bog Society has recently added a new boardwalk addition which is a nice touch. All in all you'll find about 3km of boardwalk winding through the bog with information placards explaining the history and stories of the area. It's super accessible and wide enough to take a stroller or wheelchair through. There's chicken wire on the path but it can still be a bit slick depending on how damp out it is. Go. Everyone should go at least once.

The other reviewer seems to be from Seattle, so maybe they are not familiar with the difference between Langley and Surrey? Also, and this is very much an aside, Jessica Yaniv's swim doesn't seem to be that bad? Admittedly I've only read the one article (link below), but it looks like she was trying to organize a body positivity swim that was top-optional, which is already the case in public pools. She seems to just have wanted the focus on the swim to be for body positivity so that trans people could feel safe and wanted. I've been to a few of the skinnydipper swims and it was super tame. Just a bunch of folks hanging out at the pool without clothes on, and everyone was polite and friendly. Only a few kids would show up and they were absolutely with their parents. It wasn't a big deal. In fact, the whole point seemed to be that it wasn't a big deal. Most of the folks there were long-time naturists.
