Jenkins Ave, east of the OU Track and Field and OK Memorial Stadium, on the University of Oklahoma (OU) campus. Just west of the railroad tracks. Description: The OU Duck Pond inside Brandt Park runs the length of the park to the north and south on the western side. The park has numerous trees and a large grassy area, mostly on the eastern side. It's extremely peaceful and tranquil. There are a few benches close to the pond and a stone walking bridge across the pond. The pond has moss over a portion of it, making it look like an English countryside. The main attraction is, of course, the ducks and the pond. The ducks are sharing it with the geese, who at times can get out of hand; as one was running after two of it's own when they came onto land into his space. History: The Park was named after the sixth President of OU, Joseph August Brandt, who was the only alumnus to serve as President. Plus there are plenty of Pokemon for any of you hunters out there. Not sure if the stream runs in summer, as I've only seen this park in winter when it's empty and everything looks tan or gray and depressing. Welcome to Oklahoma. I'm sure in summer it looks much nicer.

This park is quaint and has a playground area with goal posts and a tennis court. There are also benches to sit and watch your kids or to enjoy the peace. While it wasn't what I was looking for, I did use the area to walk around and reached over 1.5 miles from walking the outside area of the park. The lights didn't come on while the sun was going down so they may not work. Be cognizant of that if you plan to walk toward the evening.

This must be what domesticated felines experience when they set foot outside for the first time. once they cross that threshold,separating them from the safety of indoor living, their sense of logic becomes impaired due, to a naturalistic predisposition to hunt prey. At this point they are then consumed by an uncontrollable urge to scale up something high, a strategy used to gain a better vantage point of the neighborhood. The house cat should not be faulted for this inherent behavioral trait, when it was evolution responsible for their inept prowessit comes to easily maneuver down a tree. They are just demonstrating similar practices thier ancestors, Anyways.. I never thought A casual walk through the park would turn into a rescue mission, but life is a journey ‍

Took a ride out here to check out the water levels with all the rain. You could tell where the…read morewater had breached the roads but it was down so all the main roads were passable. Once down to the marina area and several of the parking areas were underwater as were some of the camping areas. There were still people out enjoying things as the sun was out but more rain coming. This is a really nice area when it's full and lush with the water at normal levels.

Only reviewing the waterpark since that's all we saw…read more The park was nice, appeared to be clean. The kids loved the lazy river and the water slides. They even used the diving board a few times. They thoroughly enjoyed it. The downside of our visit was the three young adult girls wearing g-strings and walking around small children. My youngest was horrified that he could see their "tushies". There's a place for such things but it's not in a children's area. It's indecent and I was surprised they were allowed in. I mean.... you have to wear shoes to enter other establishments... you should have to wear some kind of bum covering in the presence of children. IMO.
