For anyone who's planning a longer term stay or needs a larger studio space (with a living room complete with a couch and dining table), George V hotel might offer just what you're looking for. In town to meet with some colleagues, I opted for a room here because it seemed to be the perfect setting to set up shop and do some work with my team. The living room features a kitchenette (with a medium refrigerator, stovetop, microwave and sink) - perfect for anyone looking to grab some groceries.
The king bed was quite comfy and the small balcony overlooked a nice and relatively quiet street. There's also 2 bathrooms, and the primary one offers a separate shower and bathtub (with hydro massagers to boot).
Though there's nothing hip about this hotel, it's certainly very comfortable and easy to feel at home here. The staff is also friendly and multi-lingual. As for the neighborhood, it's very safe and Jardins is home to some of the best shopping and restaurants in the city. Better yet, it's all within walking distance. We rarely had to get in a cab to get to a great restaurant and some of the most upscale shopping is just a stone's throw away. For the price, I'd definitely stay here again. There's also a pool and a gym, but I never managed to look for either. :) read more
