The sandwich was goats cheese and was really delicious, with very crispy bread and beautiful fillings. The brownie, too, did not disappoint! It has been one of the better brownies I've tasted around Brighton of late - sticky, gooey and just right! It was very chololatey, though, and by no means small so it's a possible sharer, if you don't have quite as much of a sweet tooth as I do. The place itself is dinky, but cosy and comfortable still. The food selection was great for a cafe of this size, and they even catered for vegan and gluten-free diets by the looks of it. There was even...wait for it... free wifi! Hurrah! This is always a bonus, in my books, so it was a rather great find, on top of my delicious lunch. Tucked away in one of the busier lanes, this place could be easy to miss, but next time you're wandering around, keep your eyes peeled and pop in for some cake or a sandwich!

It was pretty close to closing so too late for me to have coffee, we tried the iced tea instead. Plus their iced tea was made from rooibos so caffeine free! I'm really glad we got the tea as it was so refreshing on that hot day! Sweet, floral, with a nice balance of citrus. And of course the barista put in a lot of ice to make it cold. The perfect summer drink if you're looking for something other than coffee. I wish we had room to try their delicious looking cakes and treats, there are so many to choose from and I always love cafes that have a range of food options. The cafe is two floors and we sat upstairs. The window let in a lot of sunlight with two cute painted murals on the back wall framing the window. A very nice space, I had an enjoyable time sitting and relaxing here. The only downside is they have no wifi. But overall a lovely cafe in a great location.

I didn't expect such a good cup of coffee when I walked into this shop but maybe I didn't give it enough credit. Either way, it was deliciously perfect and I am still thinking about that perfect cup to this day. The coffee combined with the unique atmosphere was the perfect addition to my casual morning in Brighton. They have separate areas to enjoy your drinks (from what I gathered, there are regular events held in the afternoons/nights which means alcohol served as well! So perfect spot any time of day) whether it be on the main floor, upstairs in the computer room, or in the garden. Every spot was cute and cozy. I loved it and would definitely come again.

Pet friendly, it's especially nice for dog walkers (like my mum!) to sit out and enjoy an Italian coffee and a home made cake on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Apart from that, their specialities are pastries, sandwiches and a great choice of breakfasts from the traditional fry up to continental fare. This place is cool, but still comfortable, with only a few seats dotted around the tiny interior. It's simple, but effective and very much has a modern and sophisticated feel about the place. The staff we lovely and friendly - just as I like em - and were happy for my friend and I to sit leisurely with our coffees and chat, which is nice considering their lack of seating (they could be in a hurry for a quick turnover, but they were not pushy at all!). The food looked to die for, but sadly I did not get a chance to sample any of it this time around. I'll be back to try it, and to grab myself another one of their fantastic coffees. The beans are ground fresh on site and both the normal and decaf coffee are from the London independent - Monmouth Coffee Co. Coffee. So far, I've tried the espresso, the cappucino, latte and americano and they were all sublime. For those feeling peckish, there's also a small but mouth-watering selection of home-made brownies, muffins, shortcakes, carrot cake and toasties. If only more coffee shops were like this, I'd hop, skip and jump down the street....

The Cappuccino Latte I've ordered was very good and the Coffee/Chocolate Muffin was a bit dry inside but has a good in taste. OMG! The Red Velvet Cake is heaven!!! The staff are very friendly and helpful, bringing my drink and cake over to the table for me, saving me from the usual balancing act with pushchair and hot drink!
