When I go to a waxing salon, the most important factors to me are 1) cleanliness, 2) minimal pain (to the extent possible), and 3) whether or not the staff makes me feel comfortable. It's pretty easy to find parking around the salon, and it's beautiful and clean. The girls are all really helpful and sweet, and I've had great experiences with everyone. I go to school in Chicago, and will let my brows get a little out of hand because I trust Olivia more than I trust anyone else! Got my first wax here, and had a great experience! Needless to say I was beyond nervous, both for how painful I thought it would be and the effectiveness. I worried for nothing because they made it a breeze. The pain was as minimal as I'm sure it could be, and she was effective, thorough, and informative. Best wax I've had in a very long time. Emily did an incredibly thorough wax. The pillow under my back just blew my mind, I was so much more comfortable. The salon and decor are absolutely gorgeous. She did a fantastic job making me feel very much at ease. She also used a machine at the end to help close my pores and prevent ingrowns - I'm hoping that works! I am so happy that Georgi's opened up in Royal Oak! I have lived in RO for over 10 years and have been driving out to my salon 40 minutes away before to get my brows done. Not any more! Since I started seeing Olivia at Georgi's in Spring 2016, I haven't been back to my old salon, and I am so happy with my brows every time after I see Olivia! I cannot say good enough things about this place; particularly about the amazing individual who has taken care of me since I moved to the area from Chicago. I was quite nervous to find someone I enjoyed as much as the person I went to for 7 years in Chicago, and did thorough Yelp research before taking the plunge and trying out Georgis. From the minute you walk in, you can be assured you are walking into an extremely professional, clean, beautiful place. Onto Emily: the best waxer EVER! I am hesitant to write her name on this (I know she will get super busy!), but she deserves all the credit as to why I keep coming back again and again. I originally came in strictly for Brazilian waxes, but slowly but surely have transferred all my other waxing services onto her. She is so charming, and makes the albeit uncomfortable and vulnerable experience of being waxed so much easier. I love catching up with her on her life and mine, and before I know it, its over! This studio has failed me for the last time, I was a consistent client of Emily at the Royal Oak location and the first time I was unable to schedule with her they guaranteed me the next best. The young lady they scheduled me with DID NOT DO WELL AT ALL. I was having the basic Brazilian and it looked like my husband could've done a better job than she had. I hadn't gone back since. Today I gave them one more shot and as expected, it's was not to my surprise a failure. The front desk help, Lauren, was by far the rudest person I've ever encountered in my life. Her attitude and facial expressions from the time I walked in until the time I walked out were absolutely OFFENSIVE. She cut me off MULTIPLE TIMES while I was in conversation with the other receptionist who didn't even have the opportunity to help or answer my questions because of Laurens rude and aggressive behavior. My experience before even seeing my specialist prompted me to leave and book an spot elsewhere. I will not be coming back and I would NEVER recommend this facility to a friend. The Georgis Royal Oak location is the worst place to have your waxing experience, it's just not good customer service. read more

Georgi's waxing studio is a very nice place. It is aesthetic and clean, and all of the aestheticians I have seen there did a good job. I have become a regular with Lilia, who is not only fantastic at waxing but is also a very nice person who I enjoy chatting with every time I come in. They also have nice incentives like 20% off your first service and a similar discount if you book ahead of time, and they are very accommodating with canceling and rescheduling appointments. Today I had my first ever brazilian wax (at 38 weeks pregnant) at this establishment and I must say that it was a very pleasant experience. When I first walked in I was impressed to say the least...VERY CLEAN AND PROFESSIONAL! I was properly greeted and asked to fill out a short informational sheet. They have complimentary bottled water, coffee and mints available while you wait. However, I was seen at my scheduled appointment time (which is always a plus). I was given a brief summary on what was going to take place and given a hospital-like drape in the style of a skirt (another plus), wipes were also provided (if needed). My esthetician "Emily" was very pleasant, knowledgeable and thorough in her delivery of service. I thought it would be an awkward encounter, but she made me feel so comfortable and held a conversation like we'd been friends forever. She maintained sanitation by never double dipping...she used a new stick and cloth with each application (A HUGE PLUS)! The most soothing part was when it was over and she applied some kind of soothing aloe gel! I have found a gem and I will definitely be returning as a regular customer. read more

Best experience! Lauren made it a pretty quick and painless process. It had been a long time since I waxed, so unfortunately for her she had a lot to work with. Didn't matter. I've got dark skinned so I am always concerned that not all of my hair will get removed. Lauren was awesome. I have no doubt that I will not embarrass myself in my bikini!!
