Crown also doesn't match the tooth they destroyed to place this poor dental work, in color or shape. I have pictures if you'd like to see them. I've also been plagued with tooth pain ever since but after paying $1500 for a crown couldn't afford to replace it. When I brought it up to this dentist he said it was supposed to look that way and that I'd have to pay to have it cut off and replaced. Just now posting because after arriving in the lower 48 and seeing a dentist I've seen the work that is good and the work that is bad and his is horrible.

My child is 7 years old and has had several cleanings and a few fillings without issue. My child had one appointment that didn't go well and we were referred to young smiles clinic. There are many factors which I won't get into here but ultimately I was very disappointed with our old dentist as well as young smiles clinic. We checked in and my child was given medication for sedation. The appointment didn't go well and my child came out crying and extremely upset about being tied down. Parents aren't allowed back with the children which might work for some but doesn't work for all children. After telling the staff I was going to try again with our regular dentist the lady (reddish blonde hair) said "your regular dentist won't see you again) which was news to me. I did try again with a regular dentist but the damage had been done and my child could not get over the trauma of being tied down. Unfortunately I don't know what happened in the back because again parents aren't allowed. After the regular appointment went south I called young smiles back and spoke at length about other options. I was pretty frantic about my child's new outlook on dental appointments and distraught at how a snowball of events had taken place without any real consideration to the child's history. I felt extremely uneasy with how my child had been referred out and how young smiles jumped straight into heavy sedation as their first option. This all happened in the last few weeks and as I was telling a mom friend about my experience her jaw hit the ground as she had a very similar experience last year. When a child has a completely normal dental history to include multiple fillings without issue I hope the in future our Fairbanks dentist will look at the whole picture and what is least invasive. Being medicated and tied down is extremely unsettling as a child I can't imagine the emotional toll. I urge parents to advocate for their children. Heavy Sedation is needed for children-sometimes but it sound never be at the top of the list for options. I understand in the pediatric dental world things can be difficult when a child is emotional or needs in-depth dental work... this was not the case for my child. I was told by three dentist the fillings were extremely easy to correct! I also urge young smiles to think about a whole child and the whole process and to please attempt the least invasive measures first. I really could go on forever about this but I will end on a happy note. I would like to sincerely thank Dr. Ingersoll at Ingersoll family dentistry for believing in my child and taking the time to talk with us and come up with a dental plan that was least invasive but also took care of the fillings! I am happy to report Dr. Ingersoll took care of my child's needs in office with simple lidocaine!!!! Today (March 29) the office manager Susan called me to let me know it needed to he reschuled due to a staff error and overlooking. I'll admit I was frustrated I had to get coverage for work and expressed that I couldn't move the appointment and that it was confirmed a week ago no issue.after some back and forth she called her co-workers morons and then me a bitch. I canceled my appointment and found a oral surgeon who could see me same week and it was more affordable. I won't ever go here.
