Chicken Doner kabob sandwich - Stuffed with a lot of tender chicken. Big soft pita. Added feta and jalapeño. Very good and flavorful. Chicken doner box - good mix of greens and chicken. Could use a sauce. Fair pricing and food came out quick. Would return again for a late night meal.

This is not ljr usual place to get Doner's in NYC it because of the wo ter storm we had to compromise and decided to give this place a try. Do not expect your traditional Doner Kebab. The food wasn't bad but this not authentic. You can find better places in the outskirts of the city.

I was really excited to try this, but I agree with everyone that is really overpriced dry meat and gloppy rice with too many raw onions. The container didn't even close properly, and of they are not going to fill it, they should really just get a smaller container.

Love Doner. Had the veggie with curry seasoning and the mixed wrap. Both were excellent and overstuffed. Almost too much to eat. Service was quick food was hot. Yes it is expensive by comparison to the halal truck on the corner but the flavor here is unique and better than the truck in my opinion.

My expectations were low, given the silly name and the general corporate vibe of the place, but I have to admit: the Doner was about the most authentic rendition of the idea I have gotten my hands on in New York. I'm sure there is a Turkish place somewhere that does it better, but what this checked out, especially the bread. The ambiance is nothing to write home about, your typical midtown corporate food parlor, but clean and hospitable generally speaking!

I recently went to Germany and I loved the doner there. My friend wanted me to try this place so I obliged. I was pleasantly surprised. It was comparable to German doner I had but unfortunately it was more than double the price and uses beef instead of lamb. That's just how it is in nyc though. More expensive with less quality meats. It tasted great though. The beef and chicken tasted fresh. It was flavorful and wasn't too oily. I just wish they blended in the meats better as it kept falling out. It was quite plentiful and was filling. The sauces were good but could have used more

Holy moly. When I entered this place, it was so hot and humid inside that I didn't understand how the employees were able to stay for all that time. It was unbearable, and I was only there for 10-20 minutes to order and carry out. I was definitely not dining in with that temperature. Once you enter, you see a large menu on top, and you can order like a fast food place either at the register or on the tablet. I ordered the doner wrap with all the meats mixed. It was stuffed to the brim and very filling. I suggest getting this wrap without fries or sides.

Came here for dinner on a Saturday with my friends. It wasn't super busy when we first arrived but got busy shortly after. The restaurant was clean and the staff were super friendly. My favorite was the rice bowl - the beef and chicken combo was soo delicious. I feel like it's a healthier version of halal, but still very flavorful and a good portion size. The garlic cheese bread was also really good but make sure you eat it fresh or heat it up, and then also ask for the white sauce on the side to dip it - changes the game completely. Overall, great place for a quick (but filling) bite!

Prior to going to a comedy show at MSG, we decided to grab a quick bite. We were craving doner, and this was the closest place in proximity to MSG, so we decided to give this place a try! Sadly, the experience was disappointing! The food was underwhelming. Seating was limited as the space inside is tiny. The doner kebab lacked seasoning and was bland, and they took forever to have our food ready. Service was extremely slow, even with 3 people in the kitchen. As you might be able to tell from the pictures I took, the color of the meat was lacking, and that's exactly how it tasted, quite awful! Save your money, and go somewhere else. You're better off getting delicious food from a food cart outside! I won't be coming back here again!

I still have fond memories of eating ths franchise's doner kebab in Dubai. It was one of the best doner kebab I have eaten. We randomly walked past the store & was so surprised to find out there was a franchise store opened near Bryant Park. We tried: 2 of the boss box (choice of doner kebab sandwich, appetizer, fries & a drink). Classic doner kebab sandwich - The sandwich was ginormous! The bread was not as delicious as the one we ate in Dubai. It was not crispy. The meat and the vegs with the sauce was very good, similar to the one we ate. Fries - we tried the curry & the cheese version. Highly recommend the curry fries - well flavored and crispy. The cheese fries was so soggy & the cheese they use was not flavorful. Appetizers - both the jalapeno poppers & the spring rolls was delicious! Would reorder these! The boss box had so many varieties & was a lot of food. We both were not able to finish our food. Nonetheless, this is a great spot to satisfy your doner kebab sandwich and curry fries cravings! Tons of seating inside. Staff was friendly & food came out quick.

Decidedly average in comparison after a European trip. It's still more than you'd want to pay. The beef isn't great and the doner itself is haphazardly assembled, so the bites are uneven between veggies and meat and sauces. I selected chicken but wasn't aware that they ran out until after I had paid. They can definitely use a better kiosk system. Ambience is minimal with counters up front. Service is fairly quick with some typical New York sass.

Stumbled across this place and was suprised to see a German style doner place. We ordered an original doner with Feta and extra sauce plus a beef and chicken empanadas. The beef empanada was awesome but the chicken one tasted like pasta, not a fan of the chicken. The doner itself was pretty good and similar to what we used to get back in Germany. Server was friendly and nice, helped us redeem the buy one get one free empanada. Only bad side was that we ordered extra sauce and didn't get it.

Loved the beef sambosa, the waiter actually brought them out for us to try before we ordered and told us to eat it with the spice condiments on the side with a white sauce. Very delicious! The okra was delicious and paired well with the rice. The kabuli palow had raisins and pistachios in the rice that was really delicious and added a nice sweet and savory element. The meats for the kebab combination were all delicious, spiced, and juicy. The waiter also gave us chickpeas which were so flavorful and would definitely recommend! Maybe we've been spoiled by our favorite restaurant back in St. Louis (Afghan Kabob House) but Ariana's was underwhelming. The server was friendly but the food was just ok. Pricey due to the location as expected but also underwhelming taste wise. We got the aushak, mantu, and kadoo bolanee (pumpkin curry with bread). All three surprisingly looked very similar (photos look almost identical as they had the same sauce drizzled with yogurt). The aushak has leeks inside while the mantu has beef. The beef was drier than we were used to and the aushak less flavorful with overpowering onion. The pumpkin was cooked in what looked like the same sauce as well but the baked bread it came with was good. They did offer complimentary chickpeas which were tastier however. Maybe other items on the menu would've been better picks!

I feel like this place is good, but the white sauce is what makes it. Would I wait another 50 minutes in line, again? Heck to the no - but 1 time? Yes, just to say I tried it. I came in line around 9:45pm and waited approx. 50 minutes before being served. the line just grows and grows.... it is crazy busy! I don't get the line concept here. Because while I was in a long line, when I get to the front, there's another line to the left of the truck... and people seem to be getting their food faster, and the line is like 2x shorter. So that's kind of confusing. Ambience in line and ordering = chaotic. The line is quick in terms of when it is your turn, KNOW what you want. Because you have like 5 seconds to order and that's it. I ordered the special (the spicy rice, lamb and chicken combo, extra white sauce, 3 squirts of hot sauce, and a topped with fries). $13 in total. I would like to say, advice to folks to know what you want before you come. I did not look at menu options beforehand and I did fairly little research so I honestly did not know what to order, just looked at some google reviews and pictures. That is going to help you, in case you do not want the typical lamb and chicken combo. To the food - 1st - they don't care how much hot sauce you want. they're making these bowls in the masses and are just giving you a single squirt so they can make 20 bowls all at the same time. I was hoping for more spice in what I ordered, but it was very slightly spicy. I'm not sure if they let you serve yourself to more, but I'd definitely want more of the hot sauce. 2nd - I didn't taste any spice in the spicy rice. I'm not sure if, again, due to the fast production that it all just taste like regular rice? but didn't see what the hype was there. 3rd - I genuinely think the white sauce is what brings it all together. The chicken was OK to me. I didn't think it was anything special, and would give it a 3 out of 5. texture was OK, flavor was OK... the lamb definitely stole the show. The lamb was absolutely flavorful and full of delicious spices. This reminded me of what I've had in Dubai. Very rich in flavor and just the perfect amount of spices. Overall, I think if you wait for your food to cool down like 20 minutes, you'll get to taste the flavors more. Everything hot together, for me, just didn't allow me to really absorb all the food. But the rice was your average rice. Pita was deliciously soft and pillowy which complemented the white sauce. Chicken was ok. had an OK texture; nothing life changing. lamb was fantastic, and fries were just fries (nothing memorable). For a NYC experience, a 1-time, 50 minute wait is acceptable. And, for $13, that's pretty cheap for the amount of food you get. I would eat it again if the line was 5 minutes. Otherwise, I'm positive you will find similar food/better food elsewhere.

BUT, imho Adel's doesn't really taste as good as the original Halal Guys in terms of flavor and fragrance. Also, it's important that it comes with lettuce, tomatoes and a little onion to balance everything out. Finally, You must get both the spicy red and white sauce together to make it all come together! The Ugly: The smell is addictive, so if you walk by, it's hard to resist, even if you've just eaten a nice meal somewhere else. We couldn't resist. Gotta hit the gym hard for the next few days!

And that line is no joke. You will wait. Plan accordingly. Here's my dilemma: every single time I eat here, my stomach lets me know about it later. Without fail. At this point I have to accept that it's probably not for me. So why do I keep coming back? Because at 2 AM after a late night, when everything else is closed and you're starving in Times Square, that platter of chicken and rice over white sauce smells like salvation. They're the only game in town at that hour, and honestly, in the moment, it hits. It's the next morning I regret it. If your stomach handles it better than mine, you'll probably love it.
