One wonders why management does not claim this Gym…read more The only issue with this gym is the mens bathrooms. It's easy to resolve with sewer drains that open and close. Was not going to mention it at all because I believed it may be out of their control and not a lack of consideration. Unfortunately, after yesterday I am open to the idea that my original train of thought was wrong. Apparently, someone threw up in a garbage can by the entrance to one of the gym areas. During my whole workout everyone that walked by thought it was a member. You could tell by their expression and their verbal acknowledgement. Crazy thing is there was an employee who was painting right next to that very can for at least a half hour. Other employees walked by as well. No one changed that garbage can until I mentioned it when I left. I told them it was either the paint or someone took a dump in the garbage can. Yea it was that bad. Later I called for the number to the district manager and upon explaining why. I got the explanation and an apology. This post is not to make anyone feel bad. The people there seem nice but a little more consideration for your members is needed. Especially if it can be resolved by changing a garbage can. Came to find out the guy that was painting was not resposible for changing the can. Which made it even stranger that he did not mention it to the staff. I had to remove some of my post because everyone is easily offended. What I left stands as true One last thing. An employee should be posted at the rear parking lot entrance. So many people walk in without checking in from there. Sales people should be on that. How are you going to make room for new members?

The managers are frequently present as well and are equally uninterested in acknowledging members. The condition of the facility has noticeably declined. On weekends, there is often feces left in the men's restrooms and vomit in the locker room sinks. Many of the sanitizing wipe stations are empty. Members walk around or work out shirtless without any apparent enforcement of gym policies. Some individuals pour excessive amounts of oils onto the sauna rocks, creating an unpleasant environment for others. It is also common to encounter people playing loud music from personal speakers, disrupting everyone around them. The most frustrating part is the apparent lack of management involvement. These issues are not new, yet they continue without correction. The gym feels poorly supervised, poorly maintained, and increasingly neglected. Members deserve a clean, sanitary, respectful, and professionally managed environment. Unfortunately, this location is falling far short of those expectations. So, whose fault is it? Partly, it is the fault of the members who continue to accept these substandard and deplorable conditions without speaking up. When people tolerate unsanitary restrooms, empty sanitizing wipe stations, disruptive behavior, and a lack of rule enforcement, management has little incentive to make improvements. However, the greater responsibility falls on LA Fitness management. Members pay for a clean, safe, and professionally managed facility. When basic standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and member conduct are repeatedly ignored, it reflects a failure of leadership and accountability. The question is not whether these problems exist--they do. The question is why management continues to allow them to persist.

The focus is always on functional exercise allowing you to remain active throughout your lifetime. The coaches allow and encourage you to challenge yourself but do it without injury. They offer suggestions on how to modify an exercise so that you are successful. There are also a number of members who are true athletes and have been quite successful in state, National and world competitions. Besides all that, the members are a fun-loving group and always are welcoming and encouraging to new members. It is NOT your typical big box gym. Pricing varies and can include discounts. Free child care is also available during classes. All age groups are welcome. At various times of the year they have even have separate classes for children and teens based on school schedules. Give it a try and I'll hope to meet you there.

I joined Stone Age Crossfit two months ago looking for a challenging workout each morning before…read morework. With virtually zero prior experience with Crossfit I went through the one on one fundamental sessions with Sarah. Sarah was incredibly patient as I messed up every technique I was taught in ways many would not think were possible... In short I was a hot mess. Despite my apparent lack of conditioning and coordination Sarah remained the perfect cheerleader. The fundamental one on one sessions proved invaluable. Other Crossfit gyms I made enquiries with were happy to let me join their classes without completing the one on one sessions. With the benefit of hindsight I was glad I didn't elect that option as it would make for a very dumb decision! The early morning classes range from hard to really really hard. There is no easy days. The classes are small enough that the coaches are always able to keep you on track. If you can't do a part of the workout the coaches are quick to show you a modification. What I enjoy most is the sense of satisfaction you get from doing some especially difficult each morning. There is a strong community vibe here also. Everyone has been very welcoming.
