They are on the pricey side though, but the quality seems to be ok and it's nice to be able to sit on a sofa before you buy it. Downstairs are lots of nice little things for the home which are sorted out into different sections. There's a kitchen section and a crockery section, also there are loads of decorative items that you can get at a decent price. This isn't a bargain basement shop, but the prices are realistic. They do regularly have sales though so you could find something cheap if you were lucky.

Oka doesn't do the throwaway lamp or binable lamp stand. You know that magazine Country Living? I bet the editors there would like Oka products. I would imagine they patronize the same church with its soft beige pews, sparkling crystal glass of designer blood and gently upholstered priest with elegant detailing on the arms. It's up market and expensive and not totally to my taste but it's quality and it's very hard to find fault with anything.

Ordered furniture with them in February 2011, paid over two grand. Delivered in May 2011. Sounds OK so far BUT the wrong furniture was delivered (their mistake). Promised to reorder and deliver in August 2011. No such luck! Numerous phone calls made - numerous promises that they would chase things up and ring me back - no follow through from them. End of September - still no delivery of the paid for furniture. October brought even more false promises until eventually YES! our furniture had been delivered to Furniture Warehouse and would be delivered week begining 12th October. NO! the furniture has now disappeared in between couriers. Furniture Warehouse don't return our calls, leaving us to chase the couriers. However, after that point there have been endless difficulties contacting Furniture Warehouse to get this delivered. There phone numbers were permanently engaged/not answered. I wrote letters which they did not respond to. Thankfully the furniture has finally arrived today (26th November) and is what was ordered but I wouldn't recommend these people - terrible customer service.

The shop is set out in proper room mock ups so you can imagine what it would look like in your home. Harveys is often busy at the weekend so its advisable to visit in the week, where they are open late into the evening. The staff seem to be very knowledgable and are always friendly, but the fact that most items seem to have a delivery time of 10 weeks is a bit off putting. My children love the water beds.
