We were super excited to eat here and showed up about 10 minutes before closing to pick up an order to go. There were still people inside ordering food and picking up their orders and finishing their meals when the woman who owns the restaurant hobbled over on a crutch, looked at me in the face and locked. The door didn't acknowledge my presence. I pulled on the door as she was locking it, and she continued to walk away. I followed her. She flipped the closed sign. I walked through the gate. She talked to another patron that was inside finishing their meal and then she proceeded to lock another door and then I knocked on the window and she looked at me and said we're closed and I said it's not 6 o'clock yet and she looked at me and said "oh well now". The interesting thing was we weren't the only people who showed up later to eat we were the first of 3 additional parties looking to pay for the food at get the burger. I was under the impression that in think that in California you couldn't lock your doors whenever you felt like it. The gentleman who came outside who was eating his food said well she just does that. Don't expect to come here with an impatient attitude. You're gonna have to wait. Get over it. They make it very clear they are unstaffed and the wait is long. Don't act surprised. May NEVER come back here, genuinely taking their advice and going to Carl's Jr as they would NEVER be this bad at giving me a burger and it tastes 10x better. First time visiting and it was good! I ordered the "Leading Man", a small fry, and a large drink. They offer both Coke and Pepsi products along with Horchata, Jicama, and Stubborn Sodas! My order came out to our table 15 minutes later (freshly cooked to order). The burger was better than I expected. The portion size of meat was very generous and the meat quality itself tasted very good. Almost like a mix of Five Guys and In n Out burgers. So delicious. The fries were deliciously crispy too. The inside of the restaurant is a little warm, but a good amount of comfortable seating is offered inside, and a dog friendly patio around the building. The menu is super Finn We ordered their leading lady and a leading man, a hot dog and nuggets for the kids, and their French fries and onion rings. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to the hype it felt more like an overhyped Carl's Jr. The burger itself was underwhelming; the patty tasted like it had been frozen, and the veggies didn't seem very fresh. That said, the pickle fries were a standout crispy, flavorful, and easily the highlight of the meal. We chose to sit out on the deck, which had a really charming view of the forest definitely a plus for the atmosphere. The onion rings are beyond great. AND - the service! We had a small dog with us so we sat in the patio area and one of the employees (may have even been the owner) immediately brought us a bowl of water for our pet!
