No matter when I phone to order, it only takes 20 minutes for the pizza, even when they are super busy! It shows how well they have this place running. The pizza is always piping hot and the toppings fresh. They do also have pizza by the slice, as well as special prices when ordering 2 or more pizzas. Their other food options, like bread sticks, garlic bread, wings are all decently priced. They are closed on Mondays. They are open until 3am on the weekends! I will continue to eat their pizza on a weekly basis, it would be a sin not to! I highly recommend trying this place, you won't be disappointed!

Disrespectful service…read more I was buying a muffin and a drink. The self-serve checkout line was long so I decided to get in line for a cashier. In front of me was a woman with a pretty full cart, but I was willing to wait, and it seemed like the quickest option. There was no one behind me in line. When the woman in front of me had finished unloading her cart, the cashier came around the till. She made eye contact with me, glanced down at my basket with two items, and put her closed till sign behind the other woman's groceries. She then turns, looks me directly in the eyes again, and with a smile says, "find a different lane." I had two items. I understand that you needed to close, to go on break or something, but how do look a customer in the eye and tell them to find a different lane than the one they had been waiting in for about 5mins? Would it have inconvenienced you to spend an extra 2mins helping a customer? I had to go to a different line to purchase my items. I left the store angry and embarrassed. It's a gigantic chain store but I still find quite a bit of difference from store to store, and therefore a reason to review. Let's go point form to get to the meat (rear centre/right) and potatoes (far right). - Unusually friendly staff. There's a a few of them that really stick out in this location! They're so friendly that I sometimes think they're mocking me. In all reality they're just very genuinely friendly, so I take the next minute to reevaluate and correct my unnecessarily pessimistic disposition. - Shiny clean produce. This is a staple among among Safeways and a real selling feature for sure. In general, their prices are higher than many other grocery giants, but if you need mass produced produce, Safeway is a solid choice. - Huge wait times. - I've not once seen this Safeway, or really any for that matter, run at full capacity. I've seen queues with over 18 people, but there are always closed registers. For some reason I forget about it often and am kicking myself when all I need is 1 item. *Side Note* I always think it's fun when you finish purchasing your items and the cashier says "You saved $6 dollars today." Who knew?? Did you know you save money?? Huh, I must be reading my bank statement wrong because it looks like I spent well over $100. ;) See you tomorrow, Safeway.

I especially like their bulk foods section of the store - they've got a good variety of foods. I also very much like their candy section (go figure). Plus how convenient is it to stop by here on your way home from school or work? Located literally across the street from the Brentwood C-Train stop, grocery shopping just got a helluvah lot easier. They offer big quantities of food for low prices, and anywhere that's got that, as well as service with a smile, gets my vote!

Deeply Disappointed by Declining Standards at FreshCo at Evanston, Calgary…read more I've been a loyal customer at this FreshCo for quite some time, but the store's quality and service have gone downhill dramatically. Prices keep rising while customer service standards have completely collapsed. During my most recent visit, only one checkout was open, and the line stretched unreasonably long. The cashier was clearly struggling without any visible support. I approached the front-end supervisor--who wasn't even wearing a name tag--to ask for assistance. Not only did she ignore my request, but she also appeared completely disengaged and indifferent to the situation. I later learned her name was Sweta. Her lack of professionalism and unwillingness to help left a very poor impression. It wasn't just me--other shoppers were visibly frustrated by the lack of organization and leadership in the store. FreshCo Evanston urgently needs to address its staffing shortages, improve employee training, and restore a sense of accountability and customer care. Until these serious issues are resolved, I'll be shopping elsewhere.

Big disappointment…read more This Freshco opened today in the Brentwood Village Mall near the University of Calgary. Thought there would be lots of discounts and specials but after going back and forth the cramped aisles, deals were hard to find. A few items are marked down, like raspberries at the entrance of the store for $1.97 for a pint. I think the idea is to trick people into thinking when they arrive that everything is cheap. It is not. There are no bags -- which is good to help the enviroment. There may be free boxes to pack groceries or you buy reusable bags for sale. Even the no-name goods (Our Compliments brand) are marked way up -- I presume this is because the store has to pay for the Air Miles program. This store is apparently owned by Sobey's-Safeway. You would think that the millionaire grocers would be willing to give the working poor, seniors, and students a break on food prices. Not so. Just another pricey Sobey's grocery store trying to give you the illusion that you are saving big -- same deception as the regular Sobey's stores. I was going to post the opening to other students at the University of Calgary but I just tell them to stay away. Back to Superstore, Walmart, and the Dollar Store.

As I was leaving the parking spot, Purolator truck arrived (Alberta license plate A-79427). I signaled to the driver that I was about to leave, so he could park ahead passing me, however he parked blocking my way. He made me wait until he delivered something to the unit next to mine. The driver was male, tall, old, had white somewhat curly and short hair, blue eyes. I maneuvered the car and waited until he unblocked the way so I could proceed. When I said "I told you I was leaving", he was angry, charged at me in a threatening way, shouted and entered the truck. Instead of backing up his Purolator truck, he moved forward trying to pass, only leaving a minimum space between our vehicles. In the process, my car was scratched (paint was clearly removed in two places). He did not stop. Later that day, I called Purolator to complain (the waiting time was extreme, above 1h). I was told by a manager (Nadia) that someone was going to contact me, but 13 calendar days later, no one has contacted me yet. They do not deserve us, customers, and should not be in business any longer.
