This group is the most unprofessional and petty business I have ever worked with…read more.. 8yrs ago I received treatment, paid a significant fee for services but kept receiving bills for charges I never requested. When I pushed back that I did not ask for these additional services, I did not authorize these additional services and would not pay the additional fees, they started harassing me with calls and letters. They eventually refunded me the significant fees I had already paid and said "Good luck". I didn't think much of it until recently. I need GI treatment again, 8yrs later, and apparently I have been black balled from every Dr in their group. I never knew they did this (black balled me), didn't know it was possible and certainly can't understand how one person could cut me off from so many Dr's that I have never done business with - which appears to be a significant group of GI specialists in the Jackson area. Petty and unprofessional.... It's interesting to read other customers complaints, seems to be a pattern. If you don't pay them whatever they want, they cut you off from all GI Dr's... Additional update..... After speaking to local medical professionals about GI Assoc, I've learned that the Madison office has been getting a lot of bad press recently, from patients AND the Dr's working there. I've heard that a large group of veteran Dr's very recently left the Madison location in protest of how the business has been run. Now I know there's something going on, when even the Dr's / employees are leaving. Apparently, the Dr's are not happy with the business group that owns / manages the Madison office and the Dr's are moving to other practices. So many Dr's left that it appears the Madison office may be shutting down. Sorry Julia, the customers are Not the problem. If you have a bad experience with any business - please, PLEASE post on Yelp. Help the public be more informed.

I have been treated by Dr. Dunn for a long time. He most recently treated me for GERD and has…read morecompleted my and my wife's colonoscopies over the last 15 years.Dr. Dunn is an exceptional doctor and has got to be the best GI doctor in the state. Here are a few reasons why: He is caring and personable. And brilliant.I have had a serious case of GERD over the last 5 years. Esophagus biopsies showed I was very close to having Barret's Syndrome, a precursor to esophagus cancer. He has kept a close watch over me, adding and changing prescriptions to keep me healthy, which I still am! My wife had a colonoscopy with Dr. Dunn 15 years ago. He found a non-benign polyp that he snipped out. We had a 2nd opinion of the colonoscopy records made by a nationally prominent (awards all over his wall) GI in the New York City area. He said: 'Your doctor found a polyp that most GI physicians would not have found. He gets an A+ in my scorecard.' He concurred with all of Dr. Dunn's opinions. If you want a sincerely concerned-for-you GI who is as up to date in his field as a resident (he re-took his Med Boards a few years back and scored higher than 90% of the youngsters taking it), this is your guy.
