Our daughter, 14, is naturally nervous in new situations - but John created such a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere that she "fell right into place." His studio is super cool, located in a historic warehouse, recently renovated in NE MPLS. It has a rustic, yet fashionable feeling, with neat wood floors and a huge metal door that opens up to a old loading dock. When we left our daughter asked if John would be shooting for all the events in the future. And we giggled. Probably not. But that's what she was hoping for. :-)

Being from out of state, she worked around our schedule to find slots to take our engagement photos and was super quick whenever I had a question arise. Her style and eye is great and she has a way to capture photos without them being too posed. I have heard horror stories of weddings where the bride and groom waited months to get back their photos, not only did Laurie get us a couple photos in a few days for some thank you cards... but she delivered the rest way faster than we expected. She plans out the shot list with you advance, and this helps tremendously to get a sense of timing for your event and when and where people need to be. We were both very happy to find her. And we enjoy looking back at our photos and framing them around the house.

Very professional…read moreand I was blown away by their new studio and how much they were able to pack into their space and have it feeling like a 10 times the size . I was honored to be able to borrow a look from Elizabeth and she helped give me some inspiration for a theme for my shoot , I felt like a vintage Hollywood starlet and got a much needed boost to my self esteem. Jen knocked it out of the park with my hair and makeup and had me feeling like a new woman . I was kinda dreading the day as it approached and once there all that went out the door . It's so refreshing to have people that truly love what they do be in this business, they give a girl that confidence to be beautiful in their own skin and to know that beautiful and sexy isn't a size its in all of us.
