I almost always ask my cashiers and loaders if they like working there and they always say yes. I love the corporation as a whole and what they stand for. However, I have had some mobility issues of late and have been there to pick up prescriptions when there were no carts available to lean on. I walked by the front managers that are over seeing check out and told them there were no carts available and by the time I walked back out, they had rounded up parking lot carts and were back in business. I appreciate that and know that it was a busy day, I just needed to lean to get to the pharmacy and couldn't. Also, the self check out is inconsistent with the other stores. My husband often visits the two other ABQ locations and does self check out there and he always gets frustrated with doing so at the Coors Bypass location because their rules are different. I will still give the majority of our grocery money to Costco and any and all other items I can get there, I do. The business model aligns with my personal beliefs (hiring practices and paying employees living wages, etc.) I frequent the deli, pharmacy, optical, pet, grocery, and other departments as much as I can. Employees are friendly and generally helpful. It's usually a very good experience. We even decorated our trunk as a Costco sample table for our church's Trunk of Treats at Halloween! I only mention these two small areas that might need a bit of attention because they matter and I know you want customers to have the best experience possible. Sometimes the carbonation is out and the workers have to put in a work order in order to do something about it. They are not technicians, or allowed to try and fix the machine. They also cannot just switch a bib completely bc of the flavor of the soda. The workers are also not responsible for technical issues that occur with the pump, and they are not allowed to short the register bc of negligence. This costs them their jobs. The self checkouts are not that complicated, you put your items on the board, and you read the tablet to double check your items. Items that aren't read right, you scan. I have seen ppl fuel up, push 1 and try to push 1 again for pump 11. The option for pump 11 is on screen. That will just set your gas to pump 1. There are children who navigate the sec checkout fine. What really astounds me is how calm the staff is considering how often they deal with rude customers. Consider the location is a franchise and they have to follow a set of rules that cannot be overrun without a manager level or higher.

They have a FReal Ice Cream machine-- has been broken or without any stock in the freezer for months to a year now. (small issue there but still sad) 2. This Circle K is listed as a 24 Hour convenience store, which is really good for the community especially being that it is in really close proximity to the Rust Hospital with everything else in the area being closed. (minus Whataburger).. but this Circle K has consistently closed between 11pm-5:30am over MULTIPLE years now. while maybe not a big deal for most, i see many nurses (or family members, etc) get out of their cars to go into the store and it be closed. Nurses. Healthcare professionals. I feel like we can do better than that for our community. Or at least be honest about your true hours online and everywhere... and I mean this in no malicious intent, I would soon love to bite my words and change my review.. cause like I said-- great store otherwise.. but needs work after dark.

I am really glad to see them branching away from the Walmart's. That was the only complaint I had was that select Walmart's had them and they were great distances from where I was located. Now that they have branched out and have more locations I really love that I can drive on up and refuel. This location has a rather large selection of cold beverages and even beer! They offer snacks and other convenient items so if you need something quick they most likely have it. Their fountain drink station and slushy station is great! Murphy's also has an excellent rewards program that gets you free drinks, to discounts on fuel per gallon. The service is great and because of that I will remain a loyal customer!

Oh yeah: "Gas is finally affordable and we can't go anywhere!" So true. These days, I don't always visit gas stations, but when I do, I think of the entire experience. When I think of this gas station in particular, I think several good things: very friendly staff who, particularly in this era, are doing the world a good turn. I think cleanliness, the place is usually spot on. And I think convenience, because it's right up the road from my house. But when I think Giant, I have to admit, I'm also reminded of the small television screens next to the pumps, distracting and noisy, and I think to myself, do I want to deal with these while I fill up the tank?
