The place was very clean, neat organized and quiet. The only problem I had with this location is the scammed out trickery on the machines. The washing machines is flashing $5.50 but when I began inserting the quarters....the price changed to $6.00. Yes it's only .50 but I had two loads to wash and the price should have remained at $5.50. I'm sure they set the machines up to switch prices and that I find to be very dishonest and scam like with this business. Not sure if I will come back, it depends on how desperate I am but over all, I was satisfied with everything else but scamming people is wrong!!!!!! read more

The washer at my building is shared between over 12 units, and the dryer takes at least an hour to dry a load of clothing, so I thought I would try this place out! This place has some seriously large washers and dryers. They have one that allows you to wash EIGHT loads of laundry at a time. It was $9.00, but I could see how that would be worth it! I used two of the three load washers...I think they were around $4.50. More expensive than I'm used to, but the machines are very quick and efficient. The bigger dryers dry up to three loads at a time for around $1.50, which was very nice. There isn't much around to pass the time...they were playing Tosh.0 and a Spanish language program. They do have one table, but it's really small and one lady was Bogarting the whole thing. Oh well, I snagged a chair by the washers and happily finished Catching Fire. All in all, I spent around $11, but it was all done in an hour and fifteen! It would have taken much longer @ home. My coworkers suggest that you go around the same time Leaning Tower of Pizza is holding their happy hour, so you can pop a load in, go across the street, and grab a cheap drink while you wait. Giant Wash got my laundry done about seventy times faster than what it takes in the tiny machines at my apartment. Other than the fact that it was fast, I'd say it's just OK. The BF and I got there in the evening and it was pretty empty. They have only one table and it was taken at the time. If they added a few more tables and chairs, it would be much more enjoyable to hang out (bring some cards, board game, whutevs). The big load washer was $5.50 and it fit all my laundry (usually at least three loads) and the dryers are $1 for 30 minutes. In all, it was actually more expensive than at home, but worth the time-saving. The change machine works, but you need to bring small bills, of course. They also won't allow you to use the change machine unless you are a customer, so don't pull any funny business. They've got lots of vending machines to buy gumballs and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and blow all your leftover quarters. read more

Expensive. Minimum of $5 ($3 to wash, $2 to dry for 35 mins). They lock the doors at 9:30 even though they are open till 11. The fella working said it was because his boss won't pay overtime. Everyone has to be out at 11. I ran across the street to have a beer while I waited for my clothes to wash and got locked out. I even told the guy I was going across the street and he didn't say he was locking up. Good thing there was still another patron washing or I bet the man working would have closed up and left. I give 2 stars because my clothes were washed well and dried fast. There are no dryers for less than "3 loads" and most of the washers are that size too (and start at $4.25) so while a great place to wash your entire wardrobe or your linens, not cost effective for someone who just needs their work clothes and a couple of towels done. The washer chewed up my bra and linen bag. Take your clothes elsewhere if you don't want them trashed. The employee also had a kid here that ran around screaming and pushing another kid in one of the laundry baskets. Laundry sucks enough without the extra crap.. This used to be a nice laundromat. However, it has become really run down the last couple of years. There is no longer an attendant on duty at all times. This has led to random people coming in off the street to use the bathrooms - sometimes locking themselves in there for hours at a time. The other day, one of the random people was angry due to someone knocking on the door while they were in there for at least an hour, so they assaulted me as I was the only one in there when they finally came out. I will never go back to this place. It is not safe for the customers. Add to that, there is a constant leak in the ceiling and an impressive growth of mould in the picture frame in the bathroom. If I could rate this as 0 stars, I would. read more

Don't be fooled by the "dollar off" Wednesday - the price of drying is increased and most washers are not discounted.

Decent place to wash your clothes, though the big washers might smell a bit mildewy at times. Always at least one attendant on staff, reasonably priced. I love the Ms. Pac Man in the corner, and if you're bored, you can always dip to Leaning Tower of Pizza right across the street for some beer, or Urban Bean right across the *other* street for coffee. This used to be a decent laundromat but they switched to an unstaffed "management" system and the place had gone into complete disrepair. The ceiling is falling from water damage and has been for weeks. The bathroom is disgusting and is never cleaned apparently. And today, the washing machine I was using leaked all over the floor. This business advertises that they accept credit cards, however none of the credit card machines don't work. I called the customer service number and the guy said that they must not be working . I spoke to the other customers and they said that they just saw the attendant walk into the office. I knocked several times and he did not come out. Very lazy. I ended up going to Rainbow laundry at 2540 Hennepin. This place was much better and I will be leaving a review. read more

I recently relocated to Minneapolis and began using this laundromat. I have been very happy with it. It is efficient and very clean - due to the constant cleaning by the full time staff - very nice guy during the week - who is kind and helpful. clean. safe. not too expensive (1.75 for top loaders and 3.50 for two-giant-loads-at-a-time front loaders). lots of tv's that aren't on too loud but that they'll let you change to a favorite show/game/etc. dryers are adequate but not great. definitely worth it for getting a ton of wash done and done well and for not too much money. and do use the front-end loaders and DO put way more in there then you think it can handle - are good, industrial style washers. can get at least two and maybe three loads into a 3.50 front loader. but don't do the extra quarter for "special wash", as that's kind of a scam. parking can be limited when busy - is supposed to be for only giant wash and some leaning tower stalls - but a lot of fools who frequent muddy waters risk getting keyed by curmudgeon-ee yelpers by parking there. only drawback is, outside of parking when very busy, the fact that dryers aren't the best deal - can take a while to dry a lot of clothes if trying to just use a few dryers. not awful, but not great. quarter candy machines for the kids. clean enough for them, too. am boring and crazy enough to say that i'm a giant wash fan. read more
