To be fair, the prices are great. I purchased a container of organic strawberries for $2, regular blueberries 2 containers for $3, Fuji apples $1/lb. However, ShopRite sometimes have these prices too when they have their sales.... Although their fruit selection was varied and plentiful, the vegetable selection is very limited. There were only some basic vegetables. I ended up only getting fruit. Overall the produce didn't look very fresh, definitely not "off the farm fresh". In fact, some of the produce didn't just look past their prime, but downright rotting. I was going to purchase some plum tomatoes but couldn't find any that looked good. Most had a black rotting ring on top. To my surprise, there were some bok choy but there were so many "holes" on the leaves that I decided not to get them. I wished this was better. I would love to have a fresh farmer's market here but this just didn't do it for me.

The logo of Twin Pond Farm maintains that simple design with the right color scheme to make it stand out. As such, it always appears in any food-products made directly by Twin Pond Farm. If a market-and-deli could cultivate a culture within its space, then it would help create returning customers, which definitely works in its favor. I did note that while they did source fruits and vegetables from local farmers, they did source their meats from Boars Head. If I had any personal suggestions, it would be to also locally source any meats if possible. The market is not well-known for catering, but they do offer apple cider donuts for such occasions, and they do have a catering menu on their website. So perhaps they could offer more individualized catering options for specific events, like Birthdays or Graduations. Their tomatoes and corn were great last year so I started going back for all of my produce last month. The first batch of strawberries and nectarines were perfect and so were the tomatoes. But the corn and the cantaloupe were no better than Shop-Rite. Now I don't mind paying extra for quality items, but today I spent $20 just on the 6 large tomatoes. I was so disappointed when I cut into 3 large tomatoes. They looked great on the outside; firm but not hard. But when I cut them open the white core, ran through most of the center so I had to really trim each tomato heavily for my summer tomato salad. Considering how expensive they are, I'm not happy, but maybe it's a fluke. I'll wait a week or two before I go back and I'll buy less to try. If the Jersey Fresh quality doesn't improve, I will find a different farm.
