The attorney did not properly review the paperwork, which resulted in me paying an extra $400 per month because the judge could not legally accept what was presented. My options were to come back at another date (after working with this attorney for over 6 months) or proceed with the higher amount. The attorney admitted that the paralegal filed the paper work wrong, which caused the error. It is clear that he did not adequately review the paperwork, which is unacceptable, especially considering how much I paid them. There was no offer to fix the error. Absolutely do not recommend this firm. Go somewhere that will actually communicate and do a decent job!

He waited until a week after I hired him to tell me he "forgot" to mention that he was in a wheelchair and that he had an assistant in the event we have to go before a judge. He also stated that because my divorce was uncontested that we could be confident in knowing that this should only cost about half of the $2500 retainer. He was supposed to send me a montly billing statement of any incurred costs while he was handling my divorce . I never got those. He sent one a month or so after that was itemized showing multiple phone calls and emails.....total cost in that time frame.....$1100 some dollars. It would be better to just state your gonna charge a flat fee than milk the $2500 "retainer" and tell a client you're going to be able to wrap things up affordably because you've done so many of these "uncontested" divorces that you don't see it costing more than half to less or a little more to handle the divorce case. He even stood me up on an arbitration preparation I was required to go to and settle the splitting of the household belongings. He stood me up 2 other times on scheduled phone meetings we were to have to get important documents and strategies completed. I've emailed him the last 2 months and a lady called back in June stating she would be handling his affairs because he is sickly. I'm still waiting on my balance funds. Dishonest, misleading, uncaring and corrupt thief. I located him through "Legal Shield" and while its not their fault because he is an independent I'd advise you to be careful and get reviews before you hire. I was forced by situations going on with the sell of my old house to move quickly and get an attorney. I don't usually choose so quickly. Send his name to the Oklahoma Barr Association but it will only give him a bad report card.
