Preparation takes time so we relaxed and were reminded of some travel experiences to Asia. The interior is simple and the lamp shades definitely have had better times but why change what works? The portion of edamame we ordered was delicious but a bit small. - The sushi: absolutely perfect. Never eaten better. The green tea tasted great. Now our favorite restaurant. Stay away if you don't have time. (Afterwards we had a small ice cream nearby and a walk over the adjacent "Domplatz" in Erfurt.) Beim 2. Reservierungsversuch hatten wir Glück, als Gäste akzeptiert zu werden. Die Karte ist recht kurz und nicht immer ist alles da. Die etwas ältere bedienende Japanerin wirkte sehr höflich und zurückhaltend. Die Zubereitung dauerte und wir hatten dadurch viel Zeit, uns an Reisen durch Asien zu erinnern. Dies wurde auch ausgelöst durch das Interieur. Es ist einfach mit japanischem Flair, hat etwas wohnzimmerartiges und die Lampenschirme hatten bestimmt bessere Zeiten. Aber warum erneuern, was noch funktioniert? Wir wollten die ja nicht essen. Als Vorspeise hatten wir Edamame. Super leckeres Portiönchen. Das Sushi was phantastisch. Haben nie besser gegessen. Perfekt. Der grüne Tee war auch lecker. Kam fertig gebrüht an den Tisch. Es hat sich gelohnt. Ab jetzt unser Lieblingsrestaurant. Der Preis: angemessen. For main dish I ordered Tanarelli with Kalamari, Chorizo and Chilli and it was delicious! The pasta is home made, you can feel the texture. The chorizo gave it as always a special salty taste and the calamari mixed well with a red sauce. Highly recommended.

We had also asked for the salt waaaaaay into the beginning of the meal, but she ignored our request blatantly, and seemed hell bent on doing so, which was very unfortunate and puzzling! Then we asked a male server and he brought us the salt and pepper right away. And quickly it was taken away again by the lady to whom we had made our first request. Really?! Why does she hate me so? It was very puzzling but rather blatantly done, as to leave no confusion about how she felt about an Asian person in that restaurant.
