Preparation takes time so we relaxed and were reminded of some travel experiences to Asia. The interior is simple and the lamp shades definitely have had better times but why change what works? The portion of edamame we ordered was delicious but a bit small. - The sushi: absolutely perfect. Never eaten better. The green tea tasted great. Now our favorite restaurant. Stay away if you don't have time. (Afterwards we had a small ice cream nearby and a walk over the adjacent "Domplatz" in Erfurt.) Beim 2. Reservierungsversuch hatten wir Glück, als Gäste akzeptiert zu werden. Die Karte ist recht kurz und nicht immer ist alles da. Die etwas ältere bedienende Japanerin wirkte sehr höflich und zurückhaltend. Die Zubereitung dauerte und wir hatten dadurch viel Zeit, uns an Reisen durch Asien zu erinnern. Dies wurde auch ausgelöst durch das Interieur. Es ist einfach mit japanischem Flair, hat etwas wohnzimmerartiges und die Lampenschirme hatten bestimmt bessere Zeiten. Aber warum erneuern, was noch funktioniert? Wir wollten die ja nicht essen. Als Vorspeise hatten wir Edamame. Super leckeres Portiönchen. Das Sushi was phantastisch. Haben nie besser gegessen. Perfekt. Der grüne Tee war auch lecker. Kam fertig gebrüht an den Tisch. Es hat sich gelohnt. Ab jetzt unser Lieblingsrestaurant. Der Preis: angemessen. (Zum Nachtisch holten wir uns eine Eiswaffel bei einer nahegelegenen Eisdiele und flanierten über den Domplatz.) Perfekter Abend für uns.

There were clearly several empty tables available to sit. Keep in mind this was at 1pm on a Tuesday. If your going to turn people away at 1pm then maybe the opening hours should be changed at your restaurant... Really unfortunate that this experience has ruined our chance of every trying koko sushi again. We can and will not recommend a restaurant with this kind of service to anyone.
